Sorry if anyone has asked this before, I didn't see it on this thread. Were yesterday videos and pictures leaked on purpose? I was expecting the big announcements and news today.

Anyhow, love the look of the new truck but not too thrilled with the engine choices. I was hoping to see an increase in horsepower for both hybrid and non hybrid version. MSRP will be through the roof but overall, it is a ice looking truck inside and outside. Good job Toyota!

Does any know if this specific engine/transmission combo has been used in any other Toyota vehicles?

That sounds like an old boy quote :)

Current F1 power units are pretty much the most powerful and technological 1.6l turbo hybrid engines available, 1000hp. It’s the way forward…

I guess MSRP to MSRP it was a few grand. Mine stickered at $44,595 and has tech, LED, premium, then $1,220 worth of PIO (included in the MSRP quoted). I got it for $41,647 and the closest TRD Pro manual for MSRP I could get was $51,147. Almost $10,000 made it an easy choice.

If it were an option it would mention it since it lists bed size for all other models just my thought.. reviews they are just assuming.

Lol wtf are you talking about? What “basic new car” is $50k???

The mental gymnastics people do on this forum to rationalize spending $50k+ on a $27k truck is hilarious.

I had electric assist on my FRS and I couldn't tell the difference. It still is mechanically connected the the steering rack but the assist is computer adjusted as your speed increases and decreases. I used to track my FRS and the steering was very precise and visceral as any hydraulic system without robbing engine power.

For 2024, Can you have a manual transmission and crawl control.?

Not sure you could have both in 3rd gen.

Holy S, they kept the chrome MT shift boot collar. Insanity! :)

At least the rest of the shiny trim isn't super chromey looking.

After watching a bunch of videos I do not like the gloss fender flares I hope they change them to the digital camo

Yes, replaced mine w/ TRD ball.
Unfortunately the skirt is attached to the base of the stock shift knob so it doesn't stay up after replacing the knob.
A rubber grommet stuffed in there works for a while but not the greatest solution.
