These were all pre production models. The Sport is almost a clone of the OR. Just wondering if hey didn't have time or just not releasing it till next year.

I agree basic cars aren’t 50k. However, most “nicely equipped” (i.e. not work truck) 4x4 mid-sized trucks are really freaking close to that. Forget about full-size. Most AT OR Tacomas (which is probably the most popular trim here) are close to 45k. It not hard for someone to say, well shit, I’m going to spend 45, what’s 5k more for a higher trim that includes things I actually want.

I’m not sure Toyota could have made the Pro interior any less desirable for me, not that I’m at all a Pro buyer to begin with.

Dreadful red plastered all about and gimmicky suspension seats…seems like Toyota wanted to win a dick measuring contest and went full prick mode.

Average transaction price for (all) new cars is now $48-49k. I think that's where the reference comes from.

yeah I wouldn’t disagree with that. I’m just saying if you wanted basic transportation you can get a nice Corolla in the 20s.

You know there will be an extreme limited amount of trail hunters and people will pay out the ass for them. Then we have the recent trend of car flippers really screwing up prices.

Not a deal-breaker because everyone is going to them. I just wonder how you use them in an emergency if a brake line fails. With the old handle, you could manually apply the rear brakes.

well that sucks. No LED DRL in the TRD sport , just limited , Pro and TH and halogen bulbs for turn signal. Even the 3rd gen has DRL LED

I think we are going to be in for a sticker shock. If we use the Tundra is an indicator.

    2021 Tundra TRD Pro - ~50K
    2022 Tundra TRD Pro (New Gen/Redesign) - ~70K

I can see the 2024 Trailhunter and Pro being over 65K OTD. I hope I'm wrong.

Well I guess I am officially old. I don't like the big ass screen.... just seems like it would be too much of a distraction. As for $1,000/mo being the new norm, that's what I paid for my 17, but it was only 48 mo and that's $CAD so really like $US700/mo. Truck has been paid off since 2020 (got it in '16) so I have a 2023 coming.

Load up an off road with all the packages and the difference is about 2k for a pro. 2020 I had an off-road that msrp at almost 42k and the pro was about 45k

I'm sure they'll have some grey. It's a very popular color. The official video somewhere on this thread lists at least six colors and a couple of them sound like greys. The one shot of an extracab looks grey.

I honestly kind of like it, I think they’re using the rigid fogs as DRLs too though, so you would have an LED still

Same. Seems like a pretty basic thing that should have been added.
