Doesn’t look like the pro will be available with a manual trans anymore or the new trail hunter. Only the trd off-road, sport and SR will have the manual option.

to be honest, the 3rd gen TRD Sport looks very good compared to the 4th.

Yep then the cable is froze up or breaks and you got the same problems lol. Electronic or manually there is still failure points.

Preproduction parts without the grain. The grain is one of the last things they do to the injection molds.

That’s just MSRP numbers. Actually sale price for the OR will probably be under MSRP while the pro may be over.

I've been having a really hard time putting into words what it is that's concerning me about this new truck, and you just did it for me. I've got a 2023 on order and a number of my friends are wondering why I'm not going for the 2024, but I do prefer simplicity, even if it is dated.

This is my personal take on this I do love all of the new tech, but I also would prefer something simpler. Hell I still have a metal key and no push button start LOL.

SR with the Manual trans is quite a good deal I’m hoping.

Depends on if the SR manual engine is the detuned version or not.

I’m guessing it will be the de tuned version. I’d be willing to pay 32 OTD for it.

Yeah total guesstimates! Might be a touch low.

While not happy with the loss of the AC, it is good to see that they are trying to keep the price point low for who want a basic truck, though basic nowadays isn’t so basic. (How many times can I say “basic”, meow! lol!)

I had OME on my '16 and loved it, so I would upgrade to that anyways. I like that it comes with an air compressor, and the bumper suffices. I have been there and done that with modifying a truck and I think this trim offers a lot of features for someone who doesn't want to put in the time and money to build out a truck.

As far as pricing I'm willing to bet 70-75k for the trd pro trim with stealership mark ups and if that turns out to be true I'd still prefer the F150 Raptor.

    Very true.
Too many other hobbies and 2 wheeled mechanical orphans in the garage to build out another.
The Trailhunter version looks good but hoping the OR (Trailhead version) will get some of the Trailhunter options.

I think the 2023 is the safe bet and overall better.. at least for now. And keep in mind markups and you won’t be able to get into one until early/mid next year at the earliest. Not to mention first couple years of a model have the lowest resale value. I was in your shoes a couple months ago when I pulled the trigger on a DCLB OR.

Give it time to work out the kinks and get the mid cycle refresh when heated seats and other features become a standard option in the gen 4 if it proves to be reliable.

I’m digging the little details on the passenger handle. Rectangular molle-ish pattern so you can attach your medpack, snack bucket, chalk bag water holder, nerf gun, etc.

And there’s a burly hook so you can hang your purse or man bag or groceries.

    I like that a lot.
