Only the i-Force 270HP/310LB-FT is available with the 6MT------even on the SR (Double Cab only)
    SR5 8AT only, DCLB available.

Bigger question is if the base SR 228HP/243LB-FT has the same internals/drivetrain to withstand the 270/278. The Tundra SR's 'detuned' V35A has the same drivetrain as the standard 389 HP tune. I wonder because they don't call i-Force like the other tunes......

there's no way they price it at 70-75k
Tacoma needs to be $5k cheaper than their Tundra counterpart, so low to mid 60k

But you can modulate a cable... i.e., half or two-third apply the handbrake, not so for electric.

RPM hang is an effect of emissions control and is (depending on how you look at it) side-affect a driving aid.

I was thinking that as I wrote the comment, but 2 to 3 was only a modest step up in tech compared to the 3 to 4 increase. Not gonna disagree with you though

Not sure about the combo, but they're usually tested in Lexus vehicles for a couple of years first

Yeah, how do you drift your Taco in the Alta parking lot without a proper ebrake lever?

Likely depends on the package. For example: manual transmissions don't come with crawl control on the 3rd gens.

Sounds like you can choose to turn that on or shut it off though.

Plus you just get whatever the dealer gets anyways. You can’t build what you want like other manufacturers.

Maybe I'm just not used to that feature, I drove my moms Rav4 a few times with it. mixed feelings about it, but I could see myself get used to it with more time.

Not something I want at the moment
