New Tundra was shown/announced September 19th, MPG figures came out Feb 1st. So I would expect maybe 5 months-ish? September/October time frame?

When the Colorado/Canyon were announced last August, it took about the same 5 months to announce the EPA MPG values. I think a big part of it is they have to be built on the production line instead of in the development center. So when Toyota makes the switch over in the Factory, the first few get sent to the EPA for testing and then window stickers get updated after they get the numbers back.

Probably a 1 or maybe 2 MPG gain over the current numbers.

No money, all went to truck...
in the video they said its still a ways away. They are still doing some development and working with EPA.

This is what really matters though. I'm excited to see what they are. Could we guess close to the highlander? 24 ?

I would be shocked if it is more than 2-3 mpg over current numbers. Seems that it is the same in-line system they have on the Tundra / Sequoia, so its trading efficiency for power. I would be happy to be wrong on that though.

ROFL. I believe that was my prediction, too.

Seriously though, it had better be a lot better than that. Like 30mpg highway for the hybrid.

Hybrids will get 4-5 more mpg. Non-hybrids 3 more real-world mpg max over G3

My non sas Bronco with stock 32s and a manual trans gets about 22 combined with a similar performing turbo 4. Being that the Bronco has the aerodynamics of a brick, if Tacoma doesn't get better mpgs than it I will be majorly disappointed.

All 2.4T and only Trailhunter and TRD pro will have the hybrid.

My daughter's Ford Maverick gets 40 mpg city and 33 mpg highway - Taco is not going to beat that. I'd expect something over 30 for city and something slightly under 30 for highway. That would be a game changer for mid-size.

I would kill for MPG like that in a taco. That would be wonderful if even slightly close to that. Would almost double my 2nd gens mpg.

Around 30 till it gets cold then it’ll be the same as the gas version. I lose about 5-10 mpg in the winter because of the fuel and the hybrid does worse in the cold.
