Get a trackball mouse like the MX 575 or MX Ergo. They need very little real estate to operate.:stirthepot:

More cutting, this time 1/4" for some rear diff reinforcement

    20230514_165821.jpg

Initial 16 gauge piece was a test cut, and the other two are the full thickness. My friend needs to slice it in half so I made an extra and cut it in half for him

    20230514_171945.jpg

Paint is dry to the touch so here's how that torch cable holder will look like

What's with the pointy tabs on both sides? Looks like something I'd bang a grape against. I'd be done after that.

It'll be welded against the side of the cart or whatever bottle holder I'm making so It'll never get in the way.

It's meant to sit flat against a wall but I'm going flat against the side of the thing.

Unless you mean the bent part. I can chop those off.

That's just so the cable doesn't fall out and over.

@koditten whenever I get time and make said cart, I'm gonna be thinking of you when it's all welded up and I see those pointy ends

If there's a chance they'll snag, I'll cut them off and post about it

Or make another and use this one for the wall

I don't know of any, but will hit you up for other DXF files when you offer them!

Stupid mistake I've made multiple times. Tacked together the blocks without welding the centering pin. Oh well at least it was just tacks.

Maybe change the order you do things to to not forget to weld the center pin.

Since you state it happens often.

i have hung up some big notes in my day.

I press the pins in then put them on the table to weld them. I somehow manage to skip the step lol. Just stupid mistakes from not paying attention. Maybe I should make a checklist lol

Don't have casters to finish it, nor have I thought about a side TIG rod and tungsten holder yet.

Plan to have my Milwaukee tungsten grinder on there as well.

Like I said, just kind of quickly cut and put it together and deciding what to do as I go.

The side torch cable holder is removable in the event that I want to change that side up later on.

Forgot the most important one; concept

    20230519_161351.jpg

I may make it more of a truck cart (wheels only on the rear) but who knows

Naturally the cord would sit much higher due to the added height of the wheels

But your welds only get smoother after the second beer. It's the 4th one I go the other way.
