Yup, I agree 100%. If I buy a 4th gen at some point, it won't be an XtraCab. I'm not crazy about DCLB because at that point the truck is so large I might as well get a full size, or a DCSB because of the small bed.

This is 1 thing that I also was thinking about. As a 3rd gen DCLB owner, it is about at teh max of the size I want, for where I live. So since the new truck is a decent amount wider, I wonder what a 4th gen DCLB would look like, next to mine. I do use the extra bed space though. I guess if I ever need to get a new truck, that will be something I have to decide. I'd want the Pro of Trail Hunter, guess. I'm sure the Pro won't have the LB so that might end up being the deciding factor. But that is a decision for another day lol.

I think the more offensive thing is the hospital scrub green with orange piping interior of the Trailhunter. I like everything else but can’t grasp that color choice.

So if I'm understanding correctly, the "trail edition" will be gone?

Yep. It's pretty much the Trailhunter now.

Man 4th gen looks great, wow! Also, impressive power output numbers and 6spd manual is still alive!

Would love a MT pro for myself but I’m keeping my truck till the wheels fall
    Off.

I thought the Trail Edition was an oversparkled SR.
The Trailhunter looks to be a new turnkey "expedition" offering.

To be fair, a lot of people color match their interiors already

I think it looks like a baby Tundra with its ugly looks. I am keeping my Sport forever and not planning on ever selling or trading it in. I love the looks of the 3rd Generation to me they are nicest looking Tacoma of all the Generations. just saying.

I don't think it's ugly but the design doesn't really excite me either. The interior and performance changes are fantastic, as expected. As someone else pointed out, it looks like a Transformer. I'm sure it will grow on me but I'm liking my 3rd gen more today (and I'm still a fan of the 2nd gen).

It’s a cool truck, so many bells and whistle’s, such a huge jump above and change from what the third GEN is.

It’s going to sell really really well, but the whole access cab thing, very thankful I bought my 22 AC, Trd off-road when I did.

Aside from that, I’m jealous of the motor and power, but I’m still cool doing my own mods and the way I want. If I had the money and didn’t want to build my own thing or not be solid on the need for an access cab, I would buy a trail hunter once they worked out the bugs.

No money, all went to truck...
I think the gas iforce also peaks at 1700. So even though the numbers are close to the 3rd gen, that will probably feel a WHOLE lot different.

Love the looks of the fourth gen, but I prefer the V6 in my third gen.

I'm liking a lot of the looks of the 4th gen, though the center stack looks a bit busy to me. And the center console seems narrower? But that could be a perspective thing.

I like the V6 in my 2nd gen, but I'm a sucker for styling and (reasonable amounts of) tech and feeling the lack of both lately.

I can't imagine trying to keep the wide center concil clean with all the electronics in it
