Anyone have any info on this trim? Will it be available in 4x4 w/manual trans?

that's the magic question - so far, the 6MT Xtra Cab SR is unconfirmed

unfortunately I don't think it's likely as none of the other XC trims offer the stick, but we can hope

One of the videos l watched "claimed" the MT would be available in the SR Xtra in both 2 and 4 wheel drive, but we shall see.

if that happens, I'd roll the dice and buy it ASAP, who knows when Toyota decide to discontinue certain combo (e.g. 2.7L 5MT ACLB)

Actually, I’d go to another platform… 100%. I need a 6’ bed and short wheel base And don’t want to have to lean into the back seat. Imagine putting your coolers, avalanche backpacks with poles, etc etc in the back without having a clear entry? Big mistake in my opinion. Let alone getting a person back there for some late night 4x4 shenanigans….

manual, I could definitely do without. When I was young and had a fast car Manual is a must. Anything else… I think these guys are just stuck on the good old days. Also I’m traffic I would hate my life even more. Not even sure I get why people would want a manual any more, other than it being reliable and if you don’t have traffic I think it would be OK

I don’t understand the logic behind these decisions. No Access Cab and No 6MT in the XtraCab/6ft bed options? Toyota literally didn’t have to change anything from the current Gen and that would have been fine.

No MT Xtra cab SR? Oh well, at least I now have an excuse for not getting a 2024 Taco, as tempting as a 4-banger that actually has some balls is. I'll stick with the gutless wonder for now, at least it doesn't require premium gas.

Doesn’t look the pro gets a manual anymore either. Looks like a possible 4 door SR with a manual for me if there’s no xtra cab with one

Has anyone seen a video that shows the new Xtracab well? I've only seen the few pictures of the PreRunner.

So no Access Cab for easy access to cargo in back. You get an “Xtra Cab” which means you slide the front seat up and reach xtra far back to get to your cargo.
    Bad move.

yeah, I'm having a hard time justifying that, maybe:

    • more body rigidity by having fewer moving parts
    • better looking (purely subjective) of having no doors
but most importantly I think it's just cost saving.

Access Cab side impact rating was “Good” in testing. It’s cost savings however the price is going UP starting at 30k for basic SR “xtra cab” (xtra margin on profit lol).
