The design style really plays into what I call “short man syndrome”

As soon as these hit the streets they will have ridiculously aggressive wheels and tires on spacers, a Glock sticker on the back window, one of those tattered American flag decals too, and the owner will have a collection of affliction and Ed hardy shirts ready to come back out.

Waiting to see an off-road trim B4 I decide since that is the only trim I'd buy. Only thing I don't love so far is the gloss painted flares on the pro. For me, if seating is more comfortable, mpgs are a little better, and the drivetrain is more engaging than 3rd gen I'll probably swap my Bronco for one. Would have been nice to have a little roomier cabin too but sounds like that didn't really change based on early reviews.

I think the 2024 looks awesome, have 21 paid off with low miles so it will be awhile, but the 2024 is so much better looking, thinking about buying

4 cylinder turbo is a no-go for me........... Not fond of that big screen as well.. Over-designed and knowing Toyota this design will stick for the next 10 years...lol

I don't think you will ever see a 6 cylinder in a small size truck again, and in the future even a gas engine.
IMO 6 cylinders whether it be 2nd or 3rd gen will be in more demand now.

The Pro looks like a 2nd or 3rd gen with a 6" lift 22" wheels and street tires.

Is it me or is the front spoiler too low? Maybe this model is not the “off road”?upload_2023-5-20_9-13-26.jpg

Not with out a Turbo. New Ranger will have the 2.7t 6cyl and Raptor Ranger gets the 3.0t 6cyl, and the 2.3t 4cyl as the base engine. Frontier has the NA 3.8 6cyl.

Nissan might go turbo 4 by the way of EPA.

Midsize trucks might go extinct by the time BE is mandated. Fullsize or compact electrics might be the only practical options for truck users who need a truck, and BE is the only choice. That's probably the only thing manufacturers will produce. The Tacoma will probably still be around at that point and there won't be any direct competition, other than a lower priced compact or fullsize.

Hopefully ICE will still be available as an option. It's not like the producers of petroleum products are going anywhere.

Super Duty inspired air damn. Just take it off, unless a minimal increase increase in fuel economy is important to you. These are midsize trucks the least fuel efficient vehicles on the road. Maverick and Ridgeline are always an option.

ICE isn’t going anywhere despite what the current people in power say, when more realistic people get in - the dates will be pushed back much further than they’re calling for now. Zero chance we have the infrastructure ready in the next 15 years to sell only electric vehicles. People really do vote for some of the dumbest people on the planet.

Considering that it has an I-Force max badge I’m guessing the rendering is screwed up

Long past are the days where you could effectively accessorize your truck with a pair of Truck Nutz.

I'm confused by what's available and on what trim and what you can't get. I only watched about 1 and a half videos on this truck. I'm sure a lot will change between now and the time the 1st truck rolls off the line. Toyota will probably change quite a few things as far as packages go.

I'm thinking this roll out will go as about as smooth as the Ford Bronco, maybe a little better. Toyota probably wants to focus on high revenue models TH, Pro, and TRD trims. While they might be able to get more none halo models out including TRD trims, and keep their volume up which could prove difficult.

Does Toyota start pumping out easy to produce lower end trucks, or focus on the upper trims? Toyota wants to meet some production number goal and maintain the segment leader. How many Trail Hunters do you think they can produce for 24?

Is Toyota as prepared as they would like to be for this new launch?

No, it smells like Tacoma enthusiasts who support the brand and spend their time and money on it, voicing their opinions on a model redesign they were looking forward to and potentially spending more money on.
