I looked today. The savings is nominal, and I am reluctant after getting burned about 15 years ago. I used the site, got a good deal for 1 year and then my next bill was over twice as much. I checked and found I had been auto enrolled in a green power company (back in the day when most weren't even aware of what that was). I called and apparently it was in the small print that this switch would occur. I bitched enough to get out of it but had to pay the bill in hand. Since then, I figure a small savings isn't worth the hassle, especially because the "good deals" are only 3 or 6 months, at least for my zip code.

I swear these numb nuts at Amazon aren't very bright. My package shipped from Burlington nj to Bethlehem pa. How's that make sense. Burlington is roughly and hour south west of me. Bethlehem is 2 and half hours west of me. Make that make sense.

 

I bet it still shows up by end of the day, bezos knows how to keep those delivery folks in line.

Electricity price hikes were one of the things that helped us to decide to go solar - of course, PPL dropped their price but in the long road they'll increase rates.

Gotta watch out for those outfits trying to get you to switch power companies. All kinds of "teaser rates" to lure you in, after which they hit you with a big increase. It's a common ploy. Once upon a time there were long distance phone companies that did the same thing.

I sure hope it rains today. It's been so dry the trees are starting to drop leaves.

 

I remember long distance phone companies doing this. LOL. It's hard to believe that, at one time, even calling 30 miles or so meant paying extra so you had to wait for a certain time to call if you wanted to save. Man, how times have changed.
