4th Gen Tacoma (2024+)

Canada getting shafted with the Pre runner.

 

Neither 2WD nor two-doors will be offered in Canada. All 4-doors, all 4WD.

And only the more powerful engines.
The "MPG monster" (aka: detuned 2.4L) isn't available.

I assume we will still have the "automatic headlights" feature that the >2020s had (no "off" position on the switch up here) and that the taillights will come on with the DRLs.

Haven’t spotted any other big differences yet.

Is it 4k? I see about $1,175 difference on the Highlander. 100% made sense for us to get the Hybrid Highlander when we bought ours last year.

 

In the tundra, you pretty much just get more power without sacrificing mpg.

 

Completely different hybrid system. 2.5l non turbo hybrid.

 

In theory I would think so.

 

Something definitely got lost in translation when people said the seats in the 3rd gen were junk

 

I was just on the gmc website, a fully loaded canyon is over 67k I can't imagine Toyota will be far off

 

That’s why I think the Tacoma will be at least that big a price difference. Probably more.

The only thing we have to compare price jumps/mpg increase for the max' that's isn't a Lexus, is the tundra. It's the only vehicle that has a similar hybrid setup that I am aware of. Well besides the sequoia but it's hybrid only.

But you have to get a crew max limited to get into the hybrid power train. It's looks like it's a 3k increase over the non hybrid option.

Max mpg - 20/24
Standard tt V6 - 18/23

So over 25 mpg highway doesn't seem out of the realm at all. I am really hoping this new Tacoma can pull out some impressive mpg numbers. I'm ready to trade in my 5.7l tundra.

 

I haven't kept up on this thread, but does anyone know if the shock seats on the trd pro will be standard or an option?

I'm not the biggest fan, seems alittle much.

 

Looks to be standard. Just trade them on here if you don't want them.
