I'm wondering if anyone has had the same reaction I did to the air dam hanging off the front end of the TRD Off-Road. It appears to be 3 inches above the ground level and and I don't think it will last long off-roading. Thoughts?

I would be willing to bet that the majority of Off Roads end up as pavement princesses.

You're overthinking it. Toyota sells them with an air dam for Corporate fuel ratings. They know everyone is gonna bin that sucker ASAP, but Toyota still gets the improved ratings for selling it as equipped. It's just gaming the system.

What do you all think of the back seat area on the '24?

Check whether I've got this right:
Apparently the passenger headroom and legroom is improved on the '24. Storage behind the back seat's back on the '24, from the glimpse I got in a video, seems to have been squeezed down to nothing. I really like the behind-seat storage room on the gen 3. I also like the way the gen3 back seat base and back fold for additional rear, flat storage area. I haven't seen any videos that do a very good job of showing how that changed for the '24 (is it better or worse?)

And a side note, I don't know why they went to the port-hole size rear window on the '24 (anybody know?). Not sure I like that, but might not be at the top of the list of criticisms since it's still a powered slider.

I read somewhere that the exterior bedsides and hood were aluminum. I wonder if that will affect how the bed holds up to a camper top and rooftop tent, etc.

Would be nice. Probably closer to $60K. The hybrid option in Tundra costs about $3.5K. Add Justin's inflation, let's say 4K. Now the generation price increase of 6K would not be a big surprise. I think this is a magnitude of things happened between gen 2 and 3 But I like your price idea a lot more.

If they want to keep sales, then Toyota will be looking at the competitor's prices. Ranger XLT 4x4 with a bullet proof engine is ~46K for the current model year. Paying as you did $50K for premium quality is totally acceptable. Paying extra $14K on the other hand will make me think hard. There are many other options available at that price for both - daily commuter and fun vehicles.

It must be an American thing to use a piece of plastic for modesty. I remember seeing Toyotas and Porches keeping naked with no embarrassment. I personally hate having to remove that POS when I work on my vehicle. At least a ugly front air dam serves a function.
