The only thing engine covers do is make you take more time to work on stuff. As well as hid problems. How do you know if something is going on that's not good under the covers?? Oil leak, bad hose etc.

What's is your average highway cruising speed? A lot of city driving?

Well they are typically there for air flow purposes.

Hmm, airflow of what exactly? Like through the engine bay? Never thought of that.

Typically airflow directed around parts that don't get cooled without one. Most likely the turbo engines will have some sort of cover.

Saw a video with the chief engineer guy. He explicitly said the hood and tailgate. Something about 30+ percent weight savings each they could carryover to the payload. Don't ask for sauce, because all the videos in my mind have melded into one.

This is something that surprised me about my Tacoma as my previous Toyotas used aluminum body panels to save weight. Why does my truck need such a heavy ass hood?

I wish a Toyota copied Chevy with the bumper step.

The hybrids likely will. They didn't mention anything about it for the non-hybrids

Hard to tell what kind of driving you're doing but the break in period is a terrible time to try and tell what MPG the truck will get.

Depends on use of a/c and heat and how charged the battery is.

As someone who lives in the rust belt, I wish the entire thing was aluminum like the F150 has been since 2015. Most other brands have moved to aluminum swing panels, at the very least, in a lot of their vehicles.

I will say, the one in the Tundra was the smoothest I've ever experienced.

    Look at this knob.

    :anonymous:

TW bothers rejoice. It means that knobs already customized by the TW member here can be sold and used for 4th Gen.

I got one and would highly recommend. OEM one wears fast and the metal knobs give better shift action to a sloppy throw.

What is the targeted market of the Pro? Is it in on-road or off-road optimization?

Any guesses on offroad dclb price as well as sr5 dclb? Im thinking 50k for sr5 and 55k for offroad in canadian pesos. Sr5 is already 47k for 2023.
