I chuckle to myself when people post something like the price of the truck and have no data to back it up with facts. I wish people would add to their statements that it is a guess what the price might be.

this thread is funny. Lots of discussion on an unknown. Like how people insisted manuals were a thing of the past.

At these prices I would rather buy an older square body or OBS Ford and restore it and make a real head turner.

The truck is substantially upgraded outfitted, especially the pro and trail hunter models, I can’t imagine the pricing won’t follow suit.

plus, the Tacoma is highly popular and Toyota has never been the cheapest or too concerned with price, it’s models have always been the premium for its class. They landed this truck for the audience and Toyota is going to steal market share until others can try to catch up.

I wonder what the KBB model uses as insight, seems very lite.

Let's be honest here: If past history is any lesson, we all know we're going to have an aneurism when Toyota finally announces the new 4th Gen Tacoma prices... and the dealers are going to put at least a $5k "market adjustment" sticker on the windshield. The dealership in my town still has them on every Tundra on the lot or the floor.... the $60k+ ones too.

I won’t be surprised to see the 2024 Tacoma Pro MSRP at $60,000. The 2023 Tundra Pro hybrid is $73,000. The Trailhunter could go up to $65,000. I mean why not, the 2023 Tundra Capstone Hybrid is $80,000.

I remember people bitching months ago when I was saying it was going to lick 60 in pro trim…. But now … that seems more than likely.
    Especially with
    1. Digital mirror
    2. Auto lift gate
    3. Ac seats
    4. Fancy seat shocks
    5. All those hybrid cost adders

I thought these were legit prices too, but couldn't find pricing anywhere online, only speculation. Also read that most of these models will not be available until Q4 2023. Could be a few months before we see legit pricing.

Heck, can't even find MPG on the Hybrid. Saw people estimating 25 MPG on the hybrids vs. 20 on today's models (My 2021 Offroad DCLB anyway).

Perhaps we should use the 2021 TRD PRO Tundra pricing and compare to new 2022 model - it went from 55k to 70k then to 73k
Based on that the new Tacoma TRD PRO will end up around 63k

FML if that's the case. Most I'd really want to pay for a Taco TRD Pro is like $55k. It's still a Tacoma.

I'm just thinking MSRP. I refuse to pay any mark-up and would just travel to get one at MSRP. Bay Area dealerships are fucking trolls for the most part.

Does getting on preorder guarantee you pay MSRP? How do you know what you'll be paying?

It depends on the dealer. You can find dealers that will get you on a list for a Taco at MSRP. You don’t know what you’ll be paying yet, so you want to make sure your deposit is refundable in case it’s a lot more than you’re comfortable with.

Got to ask yourself at what point is it really needed and worth it.

Shock absorbers on the seats ? Really ?

Won't have to worry about rats in the engine bay, they couldn't squeeze in.

    First model year is horrendous.
You can’t special order a Tacoma. You’re basically giving your stealer an interest free loan.
    Let’s not forget
    Gen 3 had
    1. Leaky timing covers
    2. Leaking cross over pipes
    3. Shit transmission programming
    4. Faulty rear diffs
    5. Leaking rear 3rd brake lights

and yet … they are way simpler than any 4th gen. Waiting until 2025 minimum seems prudent
