That doesn't look like a darker cement to me. More like MGM

The more I look at the 4th gen, the more I like it.... I recant my statement about the TRD Pro & Trailhunter being to much. The PreRunner is gorgeous. It's nice the little shelf above the glovebox is on all trims! I wish the Tundra did the same.

I have a question about the leafs, what makes spring-under-axle better than spring-over-axle? more articulation? better handling? I'm a little lost lol.

not necessarily. Can’t just apply the exchange rate to get the cdn price. The 2023 pro is 50K US but is only 60K cdn. If you applied the exchange of 1.35 to 50K you get 67.5K. My guess is that the 2024 pro will be closer to 68K cdn before taxes

I am not sure the regular trims will sell above MSRP very long

I could have bought a 3rd gen when they were barely out for a 3k discount back then. i know we are in a crazy market now but high interest rates may suppress the market enough to keep supply v demand equalized

Dang the AC door was perfect for dogs and easier straight gear access. Seems like the same size back there, wonder why they didn’t just keep the doors and do that seat delete.

Cut costs on the cheap truck which is no longer a priority for premium trims. As stated by others, probably saves weight, saves a chunk of cost and improves or maintains crash rating.

It's a bummer for sure. I had a '96 F150 as the first rig I bought new, it was one of the first to offer the door, only on the passenger side. It's for sure useful and a great feature. But, on the flip side, jumper seats are just a total compromise and it's all about costs these days. Manufacturers make more money on premium trucks so that's where the focus is.

I honestly think Rivian is onto something with the tunnel and that's the way to go instead of a door. Add exterior accessible and lockable storage, allow front seats to recline a bit, storage inside on top of that shelf, win all around. Big stuff in the bed where it belongs.

The lighting makes it look dark there. As you can see it was cloudy. In sunlight it's brighter. You'll understand when you see it in person.

I noticed they changed the location of the battery under the hood, that should cure the sheet metal cracking problems and Taco Lean.

I guess in the back of my head I knew cost was mainly why, just didn’t want to believe it. Seems like a step backwards.

I’ve got a ‘00 regular cab 8ft 2500 that can hold some stuff behind the seats but when you’re working with the storage space of an AC/XC it’s just so nice to have a door to slide bigger things in. I even used it for people now and then lol.

My wife’s Rav4 has averaged 40mpg consistently with half of its 17k miles being Hwy. Just around town it gets closer to 50mpg.

No skylight in the production model Trailhunter.

It's looking like out of the 14 different model configurations, only two will be DCLB (TH & SR5)

TRD Sport and Off Road are not showing a 6' bed option at this time. :frusty:

That seems like a really dumb decision by Toyota if that holds true.

However Sports and OffRoads are SR5’s with options added so really they should be available in a DCLB.

I'm just not seeing it :notsure: Fun fact, the 2024 is almost 2" taller. Take that garage door!

A 50 year old today grew up and lived in the 80’s. Impossible for a current 20 something Z to be cooler. Duh.

There is the luxury tax in BC to consider. Right now the threshold is 55K and may be inflation increased to 57 by next spring. Hopefully won’t have to get hit with this as I have my one year old 2022 OR as a trade in and there is no trade in allowance if the luxury tax is applicable

The biggest benefit is better uptravel, your limiting factor is changed from being the leaf spring to the axle itself. The springs also articulate better with all that concavity. Granted, would have to see the travel numbers of the new taco, but looks a lot better for uptravel which means it won't feel terrible to take over bumps.
