So I've come up with a 5-step plan:

    1. Find out what the price is.
    2. Find out what the real-world MPGs are.
    3. Find out what the MAX battery life is.
    4. Find out what the MAX battery replacement cost is.
    5. Buy the truck regardless of the answers to 1-4 above.

Has anyone heard anything regarding the Off-road trim? Did they axe it?

Agreed. The bright interior colors don't age well.

What does that even mean? Sounds like some marketing jargon.

Not sure if i'm late to the party or not, been speed watching videos to catch up. Do I spot rear defrosters?

Edit: somebody else confirmed it, still can't find the button on the dash.

My '22 Pro soaks up highway expansion joints and the inevitable Michigan potholes very well, no drama. City driving is pretty plush. Maybe just a touch too much body roll on corners in town, but that's probably more to do with me ignoring that stupid Toyota app "harsh cornering" metric and driving it like it's my motorcycle. :D

Wheelbase on Taco4 was lengthened to gain precious rear legroom, but they said themselves that they didn’t want to increase overall length for garagability. It looks like their solution was to increase the wheelbase by simply pushing the rear wheels back. Evidence of this shows up in the improved departure angle over Taco3, but it also looks like they ran out of packaging space for the exhaust. To my eyes, the tailpipes jut out awkwardly from almost right under the rear bumper.

You also get a worse break over and turning radius. I’ll guess the longer wheelbase will inherently smooth the ride out, but coils should smooth the ride over the old leaf setup anyway. Seems like a lot of work for a backseat that’s still only suited for kids.

Been waiting for the new gen and hoping to buy my first Taco in the next year or two, but I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed something about the hybrid option in Canada? I read the same Toyota press releases for the USA and Canada, and it seems Canadians won't have the option to add a hybrid to the TRD Sport whereas you can in the USA. Would you assume this is something they might add for us by the second model year? Sport is definitely the trim for me and I was hoping for the hybrid. Here are the respective releases, it's under the Taking Tacoma to the MAX section.

The Tundra folks found that the 14" and 8" screens are interchangeable.

Sell your big screen to someone that bought the cheap seats. Problem solved.

I never saw anything that said they were trying to improve legroom in the rear for the 4th Gen, and everything I've seen suggests they could care less about the legroom for rear passengers. Especially since the seat backs look thick even before including the new Pro seats. Toyota doesn't care if the tailpipe looks good, as long as it's not the cause for setting the departure angle.

Looks like it's to the right of the front defrost, same button for side mirrors.

A Sport Hybrid interests me as well. On the Toyota Canada site under future vehicles the Sport is not listed under Hybrid models...but it is under Gas models with 326hp..I think there is just a bit of confusion this early in the game.

Overall looks pretty nice. I see they took a lot of cues from the Tundra which is expected. Wish they took the full back window roll down like the Tundra. But I guess a little port window opening is better than nothing. Pretty sure I'll get one just now sure when just yet.

Are you with the government? Must be from accounting. Lol.

But I like your plan. Mine is less involved. Mine includes getting 10 years out of my 3rd Gen, then buying the 4th.
