MARYLAND TACOMAS

I’m in a 23 Tacoma Trail that I bought in December. Since then, I have regeared to 5.29, installed a K&N intake and then this weekend I flashed the Yotawerx tune.
It’s officially a bad little bitch.
I’m thinking I might want try some off-road , but have no idea where to start. Any suggestions as far as spots to get my feet wet.
I’m in westminster so Pa line is 15 minutes away.

 

Welcome and nice to see another Westminster Taco on here… there’s a couple of us out this way. There are trails in Gettysburg and if you want, there’s Greenridge Park… but I heard that’s semi paved now. Subaru friendly trails, lol! But I know some others will chime in with nice spots. Maybe a local WV member? Lol!

Anyone interested in a like new Tekonsha P3 brake controller. Mint, still has the screen film on it. Comes with splice harness, Tacoma harness (direct plug and play), brackets, protective case, box and instructions. I thought I was going to need it for the boat trailer but don’t. $125 local member, or I’ll list it at $175.

Any of you guys/gals want a dog ramp for the truck? I’m selling one for $50 (bought it new for $80).

We forgot to bring ours when we left for Montana so we had to buy a new one while we were there and I don’t need two. It’s still in like-new condition and it’s super helpful. I figured I would check with you all before I post it for sale in the marketplace.

@Road_Warrior , did you camp out of the bed of the Taco during the trip? I want to go back to SW Colorado again this summer, I took the 3rd gen 4runner last time and slept on a platform in the cargo area. I'm thinking about taking the Taco this time.

 

I did not, we stayed in a house at our destination and hotels along the way.

The wife doesn’t do camping so our agreement is that we can stay in a structure at night and she comes with me for trail rides during the day lol

If I was doing the trip solo I definitely would have camped in the bed of the truck.

Yeah I’m good thanks for asking. Been real busy with work and been without a truck since December. I was sideswiped by a tractor trailer. My trucks been being repaired since January.
Finally getting it back this week.

Good morning MD. Im going to put the rubber fist locks on the cross bars today and mess around with mounting some things to see what is practical and functional. Im thinking a shovel and a short handled axe or a woodcutter hatchet. Im also thinking I can come up with some way to make them functional for carrying my rigged fly rods when I am creek hopping. It sucks having to break them down to go 3 miles.
