I use the Maxima Kit. Chain cleaner when I'm doing a deep clean, MPPL after the cleaner and before the wax, then the wax to finish it off. I'll touch it up with the MPPL in between deep cleanings or after riding in the rain, unless it's real heavy rain in which case I'll do another deep clean.

As far as overspray on the tire, I just take a piece of cardboard and stick it behind where I'm gonna spray on the chain. Cut it large enough that it extends to the ground or will at least extend past the tire.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Just got off the bike…took the gf for her first ride on the back of the 890r. So now I know why I should have kept my 1190r :(

The bike performed well, it’s just really too small for an additional rider. I was all kinds of jacked up and my feet weren’t where they needed to be.

Note to self…just buy a new bike, and then consider selling the other one. Didn’t real size it would be suck a big difference.

Her eyes did get wide and felt her grip tighten as we went Offroad without slowing down lol

You hate to see it! Buddy from work sent this to me today. I was parked next to it this am and left work early for an offsite. When I got in though a dude pulled up on his bike with a screw in the tire. I heard it hissing when he shut his bike off. We pulled the screw and plugged the hole (yes, I carry a plug kit with me and need to move the compressor over to the new top case). Used the CO2 cartridges to get his tire up to 30psi so he could limp across the street and fully air up.

Definitely going to be just for display, I take this bike to a show once in a while, it can sit with it.

I saved one persons day but unfortunately not that guys…gives me an idea though. I’m going to see if I can get some tire repair kits set up at the MC parking spots at work. Might have electrical there for a compressor too. Hmmm

I have the small ARB compressor that would be perfect for a motorcycle tire repair kit. I’ve been bebating mounting it in a small “pelican” case with tire plugs and tools etc…. Could be self contained but needs constant 12v.

Installed a KTM accessory USB port on my bike yesterday. It comes stock on the 690 but they didn't start including one on the 701 until the '23 models. The plug for it is sitting there unused behind the headlight so very easy addition.

I have one mounted in my touratech topcase but haven’t moved it over to the new case yet. I used some Anderson connectors off an old APC UPS as the easy quick disconnect to the battery. Thought I had pictures of it but apparently I deleted it off my phone

Love those moments. I get that feeling whenever I ride home from work and it's sunny. Once nice stretch of freeway where you can see out to the ocean, over a lagoon, and the lower sun hits it just perfectly.

Yeah in fairness, he clocked me quite a bit higher, and wrote it down to 85. after 85 it would have been a lot more serious, so I lucked out. Think he was pretty appreciative that I didn't run and owned up to it lol.

Note to self: don't let the empty freeway tempt you
