    Good Morning everyone :hattip:

Facebook creeps me out. It’s intrusiveness contrasts with my ultimate goal of being a shut in..

Back at the mower repairs today -- but first :pccoffee:.

I feel like I'm going to burst with anticipation. I am expecting a call back from a HR director about a job I really want in about 90 minutes.

I was offered the position. Now I'm just waiting on the official paperwork.

I swear weather is all or nothing for us. Two months ago we were freezing, now it's 89 and I'm boiling.

Well, equipped with the mower jack this time I assumed "the position" underneath the New Holland mower.

    KIMG3106.jpg

    And found this...
There is supposed to be a bolt at about 1 o'clock in the photo.

    KIMG3103.jpg

    ... and this too... :(

    KIMG3104.jpg

Two loose bolts, one missing and one snapped off. This is where I needed the :canada: thread bolts.

They are supposed to hold the engine to the mower chassis -- this explains that funny knocking noise, I observed the engine shifting around as I cranked it over.

I figured 3 new tight bolts were better than 2 old loose ones... :notsure:

Put the muffler back together with the help of Mr Miller, I won't show my welding to curb the "Stevie Wonder taught me to weld" remarks.

And then the tires - always :censored: tires...

The rear tire has leaked for a little bit *cough*...
    since last year. :anonymous:
I would have to fill it each week which is a PITA as the valve stem is on the inside..

Turns out so was the leak.

    KIMG3110.jpg

In the sidewall of the tire :confused:, I was expecting a thorn in the tread, instead I found this little pock. Manufacturing defect?

    KIMG3109.jpg

Normally sidewall damage on a tire is a terminal fault - it's on a mower with a top speed of 6 mph so I put a plug in it.
    :fingerscrossed:

The diagonal front tire leaked too. :annoyed:

    KIMG3111.jpg

Turned out to be in 2 places, again just tiny pinholes  , I noticed this tire had 2 plugs already, now it has 4.

    KIMG3112.jpg

All of the tires were new about 3 years ago, made in :oldglory:, just not like they used to I guess. :pout:

The tire I knocked the valve stem off last week on the Ford is original from 1975.

This mower jack is cats @$$ for the job but takes a huge amount of space to store.

    KIMG3105.jpg

I mowed here at the garage and nothing fell off. I'll take it back home in a day or two.

Rounded out the work by using the grease gun to make a mess and sharpening the blades - blades and I don't have a good relationship.

5 minutes after I started mowing I found a rock... :censored:

    ... as usual.

How much is the jack rated to lift? My Kubota is around 1200 lb's.

Between the Kubota, Grasshopper, and Ferris, I could probably stand to drop some coin on a decent jack for them.

Just as a note, HR is not there for you. They're there to protect the company. Ahh the joys of a corporate world...
