lower passenger side center console rocker switch install

I did a bunch of searches and couldn't find anything similar so here is my question: I installed arb air under the passenger seat and want to put the compressor and locker switches (5 pole) in the side of the lower center console but am worried about the switches being grounded out in the carpet on the other side of the plastic. there's enough room (just) for the switches to fit but my question is what did any of you do to protect the blades and wires from shorting?

 

I've crammed a usb 115volt outlet there.
There pretty bulky. I would think you would have enough room.
I'll see if I can find a pic otherwise I can post when I got off work

I used basic cremp connectors and liquid electrical tape to cover the connectors

 

Not the best look but it definitely does whatvI need it to do
