What a weird year this has been lol. If Canes get swept it will be hard for my brain to even process. Don't get me wrong, FL is for sure a better team than their seeding shows, I think we all kind of knew that. But if they go to the Finals they pretty much would have buzz-sawed through all the heavy-hitters in the East. And the East was just a monster this year. Truly amazing. Full credit to them and their coach (who I think is great.) And good to see BOB have a nice run. He really is a fantastic tender, but some bad patches have sort of tarnished his image (maybe unfairly, in a way.)

 

You assumed I was speaking to you. Do you speak for the Carolina Hurricanes? Are you that sort of fan lol.

I only cheer/cheered for the Leafs. Stop mixing up your Canadians, it's discrimination yeah hillbilly. I really don't care who makes it from this point on.

 

I need Dubas in Pittsburgh. I am not sure how Toronto people feel about him at this point, but I think right now he would be my front-runner here.

I feel like he's going to Pittsburgh. He put out a statement on twitter today that suggests he's moving into another role, or at least that's how I read it. So much for, "I'll be a Leaf or be home with my family," lol.

Dubas broke with Shanny, did a press conference Shanny didn't want him at where he overplayed his hand, and Shanny let him go to send a message that the holdouts and the manipulation of the Toronto media for contracts is over. I feel like this is actually a good thing for the Leafs but who knows. It'll depend on the next GM.

Ya just from word around here (which people have been saying all year that unless Leafs made noise, he was coming here - which I don't get how they were saying it so early.) But it appears to have some legs now. I didn't buy the "Toronto or time off" thing anyways. We know how that goes.

As far as Toronto moving forward, I'm not sure either. Just was curious what the vibe was around there.

 

A surprise to me, as I’m sure it was for Boston, the Panthers have basically out coached, outplayed, and outgoalied the Canes- but only slightly as the two OT and scores attest. Both Andersen and Raanta have been outstanding in net. Bob has been a brick wall but not on his own, there’s almost always been a couple of panthers and a couple canes players right in front of the net on most Canes shots - hard to get a puck through or a rebound off that mess.
Canes style of sling it to the net and tip a puck in or bury a rebound just doesn’t work with that many bodies in front. And when the Canes have had a breakaway Bobs stopped it.
For the Canes to win game 4 they’ll have to find a way to draw panthers away from the net and/or bury pucks on odd man rushes instead of hitting the posts and bar. Hope they can do just that.

 

I'm not in the six and I don't hang around TML forums at all so I'm not the best source. I'd say there's a lot of disappointment and fear with Dubas leaving. That being said, paying the core four even more money without real results wasn't going to play out well either. Time will tell if it was the right move but I'm happy to just keep going along for the ride.

LOL. That dude was mentally sick though. There's a big gap between getting a little riled up and sending me PM's telling me you'll find me after making several false profiles to get around a ban. The dude still makes 1-3 profiles every year to call me a pussy or something like that. Like it's my fault he lost it completely on here and got perma'd. Even @OZ-T knows how to push the chat here without getting perma'd.

As I've said before, I really worry for that stalkers family and friends. He gives off the, "randomly beats people in anger," vibe. I don't know how someone could carry that sort of weight on their mind, to have to try and bully someone yearly on a site they've been banned from is within the definition of crazy. The dude needs to let go but clearly can't.

 

Not sure whose gonna win tonight but should be a good game. I have some “Original Six” hankies left the Canadian hockey purists can wave around like rally towels as you pull for your favorite Southern Hockey team. Yea-haw!

 

Canes have played just as well or better this whole series but they are done. Hate it but Fla just got the one shot to go in when they had to have it. Hats off.

 

I’m gonna hold out for the Canes to win game 4. Just never was fond of brooms. Fight to the end.

 

I'm surprised Carolina is surprised. The Leafs outplayed the Panthers for the last three games of their series but lost two of them. Bob has been unreal and the Panthers seem to be great at scoring when they need too.

 

I thought the Leafs and Oilers would make it at least to the conference finals. After how the Canes put so many goals up against the devils and whipped them handily, I thought even without Svechnikov the Canes had finally found their offense in the playoffs. Then we played the panthers. My bad, lol.

 

Not surprised. Panthers play a very similar game to the Canes. They are a great team. All that being said, Canes could be up 3-0 with just a little hockey luck…but that’s not where we are.
All one goal games. Panthers goalie has been better. He’s not unbeatable or they wouldn’t have been an 8 seed.
