A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
    4runner is built in Japan.

^^This. Plus, if Toyota has learned anything from the past three years, it's that it's more profitable (and less risky) for them and their dealerships to limit production and sell less units for a higher margin. No need to bring more production capability online. 4th gens will get sold out of allocation with a market adjustment for some time to come.

I’m new to the Toyota Tacoma.when I heard the 2024 models would be 4 cylinder turbocharged i knew I had to get a 2023 model. Got an allocation for a sr5 after a 7 week wait. Build date is late June. Can’t wait to get it.

They will lose market share, and cost their dealers service $. Just because the market was a certain way in the past doesn’t mean that’s how it will be in the future. This is massively flawed logic, humans for some reason are short sighted. Toyota sells for volume, just like every other manufacturer and that ain’t changing.

Yes. Revenue (not necessarily profit) comes from either more sales (volume) or higher margins. Lower margins & higher volumes are what we the consumers want. Higher margins will drive some consumers away, not all but many.

I respect your opinion, but I think we will agree to disagree on this one :)

Largely stock at the moment. ARE Overlander bed cap. Much more to come as budget and workshop access permit.
Personally I have no intention of looking at the 4th gen til my 2018 is dead or dieing, but I figure the last of the 2023's have already been built. As others have pointed out it will be a few months before the dealers start selling down their inventory to make room for the gen 4... I for one AM looking forward with some excitement to the specs coming out on the new hybrid engines, though it will likely be 25 or 26 before we have decent aftermarket support. Sure there will be a hand full of products on the market immediately, but it takes a couple years before the market has enough competition to have reasonable options.

You have to be pretty close as, in 2015, I bought one around september or early october and it was one of the very few left anywhere. The 16's had already came out and everyone was now waiting for those instead of buying the last of the 15's.

There was a lot of regret a few months into 2016 with the new models driving experience where the transmission was concerned.

Just put a deposit on a Pro MT with a mid June build date and the dealer said that would probably be the the last Pro they’d be getting of the 23s

I think I'd only want to replace my RC with another one but a 5spd. I really like the short wheelbase of the RC. To replace that with a new vehicle I'd have to get a 2dr Bronco or Wrangler. Fullsize short beds, aren't quite the same as a short WB midsize.

I did see a MGM TRD OR AC allocation at a dealer. I'm not looking for a truck now, and it's probably already spoken for.

    A few.
There going to start builiding the 4th gen in one oif the 2 factories first until its up and fully running before converting over the other factory from 3rd to 4th gen production. This was stated by a Toyota engineer on one of the youtube videos. Im guesiing we wont see any hybrid models until the 2nd factory is in production.
