Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I'm suspecting the rail industry has been a bit lax on maintenance for a while. It's probably going to take a while to catch up and maybe some heads rolling (both in DOT [they can start with the secretary] and the rail industry).

I'm betting I better not push any further...

I plan on looking at the MVUM and other overlays soon.

Looks like most of the pipeline is still available, other than the rock garden. I'd also be interested in revisiting the trail or sections that @McSpazatron discovered last year - maybe even run into some friendly utvs that @Pixeltim can have a cordial conversation with.

I believe I have off that Thursday and Friday. If all goes well, I'll head up late Wednesday or early Thursday. Once the Love-shack is settled in, I might do a little scouting, or get the kayak wet.

I'll have to double-check the closure on the USDA website, as I had thought most of 55552 was shut down. :notsure:

Edit: I just checked, and the parts that are open are only open to snowmobiles. :(

The MVUM shows it's open, but I forgot about the notice that states 55552 is shut down. I'll call the local ranger station to confirm details about the area tomorrow, as they're only open on Wednesdays.

Edit: sidebar, we should check out the other section of forest/public lands in the future - a bit of a further drive but there seem to be more options for OHV use.

Let us know what you find out. I stopped in a few years ago when there were rumors about a closure, and then people on Facebook still bitched.

Here's the map linked to the closure on their website:

Is that the proper name for it when your camping with a bunch of guys?

Love-Shack and/or Pleasure Palace seem to be the most appropriate names.

Lol! Someday, maybe, I hope to find a nice lady to share it with. But, for now, I guess it's a little weird. Hmmm... I'll need a more appropriate name.

    I'm open to suggestions.

Old Fashioned is another term for an HJ, and since James is an electrician some people might say he is quite handy. How about "Handy Land"?
