It really sucks for the land speed guys and the autocross club that host events up there each year. If they reactivate the runway we lose that.

I think it will take time, if they can even get traction. I can't figure out what type of industry it makes any sense to stick there.

Camping up north this past weekend, was a cold one to say the least :D

Around -6°F all day Saturday. Lowest I saw that night was -15°F. Pushing the limits of what I was comfortable with for sure

What condition was the Golden Road in? It was pretty icy the last time I was there in March a couple of years ago.

Not too bad. Completely clear of snow/ice to the bridge. Didn't go any further.

According to my scheduled maintenance guide, I am long overdue for a transmission fluid change. I am considering the dealer (Berlin City in Portland) ugh... I am looking for recommendations on a reputable transmission shop that could take care of it instead. I am in Standish/Southern Maine area.

    Thank you all!

None. 220k miles, just did a major brake/ suspension overhaul to keep him on the road.

Hey there is a transmission shop on the road to BJ’s, (westbrook-Portland?) go past BJ’S and in the same lot as the Lexus connection there is a transmission shop. They guy rebuilt my fathers transmission to match up to the 383stroker he had built. He was fantastic to deal with and reasonable price for a complete rebuild/ refresh. I plan to bring my truck there for a transmission service. Aamaco transmission I think

    Sup everyone,

Looking for a good alignment shop in the Bangor area, that knows their way around an aftermarket/adjustable suspension. Nothing fancy, just a 3” Dobs setup on my 2nd gen

Got a bit of positive camber I’m trying to iron out, and the last shop I took it to either didn’t know how to work with the SPC upper arms, or just didn’t want to, so they only cranked the lowers out all the way, adjusted toe, and called it “close as we could get it”. Not bad-mouthing them, it was friendly service at a good price, they’re just clearly more geared to OEM setups.

    Thanks in advance!

I'd say either "the shop" in Hermon, or possibly rawcliffes in bangor. Those are the two I've had the best luck with on mine and my wife's vehicles. My buddy has had his autocross car aligned at rawcliffes to custom specs before as well.

Thanks! Others have recommended Rawcliffe's as well, I'll probably give them a shot. Appreciate it!

I have two months left on my frame warranty and would like to have someone give my frame a thorough inspection. I've already had one free inspection plus the film applied by the dealership a few years ago. I'm in Portland, does anyone recommend a shop to do a thorough inspection to try and find a hole before my warranty runs out? I live in a condo association and they have already fined me for changing a brake light... so I'm fairly confident they would call the police if I were to lay under the truck with a hammer and a screw driver looking for holes
