So- a Funny thing. Do you know that saying about how all publicity is good publicity? Well, every time y'all make a post about Bubba Wallace, either by typing his name or linking to another source, it makes his social capital go up and makes him a higher-value target for higher-profile sponsors. We have software that does market sweeps and fan engagement. Every time there's a post, a mention, or a thread, it gets graded via several metrics and goes into what's called "Overall Reach." So if you don't want him to succeed, do your part and stop talking about him.

Like- we seriously have a guy whose sole job is to do market research and metric sweeps for athletes, influencers, and celebrities. We can see a scary amount of information about consumers, and in turn, we can target ads and more to such a high degree of accuracy. I can tell you right now no matter where you digest digital media, at least 90% of it is targeted to sway your viewpoint and opinion towards or against certain things. It's truly spooky.

I had a long shift at work so I got a lot to unpack...

I live in a very rural southern area... And other than a few nutcase families... We all have no hate for race... And haven't since I've been here.

    Couldn't agree more.

I worked briefly as a volunteer firefighter in my early adult years and actually talked to a guy who programmed the county radio system. This was 2005 and it was more secure than most security systems of the day. It's easy to hack in and listen but next to impossible to transmit on them. And we've advanced 20 years since then.

You said my point waaaaay better than I ever could.

Yeah, all depends where you're at. My brother, also a volunteer fireman at the time, had purchased an 800 MHZ radio on eBay in the early 2010's and programmed in the codes for the local frequencies. It was a normal radio like any police officer could carry. We listened to that as a scanner a few times before he just kept to using it for the firefighter gig. He never attempted to talk on it while using it as a scanner though (for good reason).

The encryption these teams are using is a lot more high tech than some of you are giving it credit. I mean it can be done but it’s not all that simple. We used encrypted Motorolas is some areas in the military and they are pretty secure. I suspect these teams are using something more along those lines. Who knows though. I am not a nerd so perhaps not.

I heard there was an uproar but I don’t know what terrible thing they did. Been too busy to look into it. Were they employing kids? Dumping poison in the water systems? Overthrowing third world countries for their barley? :D
