But motortrend seems to think its double cab only. Well, they dont make any mention of the extra cab at least. Maybe the article was written before the release date.

Guess we wont know until the build page goes live. But if I get a raise at work this year I could be tempted.

 

at the rate I'm going, my next vehicle will be older than me. Newest car I've ever personally owned was a 2012 lol.

 

I might consider buying something before the total stop sale on ICE vehicles but honestly I'm happy playing around with older stuff and maybe just getting a newer EV as a commuter

 

Yeah, I'll leave the new vehicles to my wife as that's what she prefers...we'll always have at least one more modern car. And then we'll have at least one family shitbox in my name

I'm over new for the most part. Nothing I'm interested in the universe of my budget (or over, tbh) is something I can see owning in five+ years. Which really, really sucks. I still have an appt to go drive two BMWs that are arriving but it's just an exercise in futility I think. Even the M240i. So much of the experience is tech based now and I don't think it's going to age well.
There are outliers, but they're the weird extremes. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, and likely it's those weird corners of design and manufacturing where you'll find stuff that'll keep on, even if it's cheaper, like an MX5 or something.

(pickups may count as well, but I don't really care about em)

I see your T4R has the chrome strip fenders too, my boss tells me at least once a week I should get rid of them lol. Oddly they don't really bother me and I am generally no fan of chrome

 

Rather just have a single cab tbh

 

My double A batteries take way less time

 

I've always loved the look but I can't wrap my head around how frustrating it would get to have virtually no storage space in the cab. I guess you learn to adapt, if I had one I would probably get a shell for it to keep stuff safely in the back.

 

I think I prefer this generation of Toyota trucks and 4Rs without the big flares.

I kinda like all the chrome on this rig.

 

yeah I'm not a big fan of the fatter color matched flares the later versions got, unless in certain colors (black, green, red maybe). The gray ones with those big flares look weird to me

I might try and see what mine looks like with the chrome removed if it's easily removable. Guess I could just photoshop it real quick

 

Besides trips I rarely put anything behind my seats. Most of the time stuff is just in the passenger seat or on the floor. Maybe I'm an outlier though. I wouldn't argue the fact.

 

Wait don't you have a level 2 charging outlet in your garage? Also what's up with this car, it's used cause I see California highway cheater passes, a tri cities dealer ship plate surround, and a plate that still expires this year... What aren't you telling us

 

This thing does not set the bar very high.

 

I keep a little tool set in the back of mine and a couple old surplus bags with odds and ends, small containers of fluid/oil, flashlight, first aid kit etc. Little stuff that fills up spaces quick. Definitely not anything 100% necessary but with how I've used the truck it feels better having those things on the road with me.
