Yeah good call on that. I am getting mine (new hooks) Line-X coated (like the bed is) with stainless countersunk screws. I think that'll keep them looking reasonable.

You know, I've always wanted the hooks on the outside rim of the bed. Like how the old Toyota trucks had here, and how Hilux trucks have always had. I think that would be a really useful mod. But I'm not sure how that could be done as most beds that have those outer hooks have them mounted near flush. So the bed sides I guess would need to be narrowed at the top to accommodate the recessed hooks. Not sure I'm explaining this well.
