Back when ( I was young... :pout: ) I first got into facility maintenance (as opposed to production maintenance) I approached my first service call to a ladies restroom with some curiosity.

After all what (young) guy hasn't wondered just what do they actually do in there that requires they go in groups?

It was quite a letdown to discover it was identical to the gents except the absence of the urinals.
    :(

For me it's a clipboard with a floor plan and a red pen. :D

The profile was familiar, I just couldn't zoom it clear enough for an ID.
Those cars were true urban assault vehicles of the day.

In factories clipboards can take you a long way - and make lots of people nervous too.

Walk around with a clipboard and a stopwatch around your neck for a bit - by lunch the rumors will be flying. :plane:

At the way back job we had an engineer who was in charge of designing all the overhead conveyors, naturally his job required him to walk around and look up a lot.

He would go to a department with a clipboard and spend some time looking up, the workers would be buzzing for the entire rest of the shift. :gossip::gossip::gossip:

It was amazing, the stupid $#!t they would come up with after an hour.

At the old job we had 6X more men than women so the ladies rooms were quite clean.

I was framing a supply cage on the production floor and told 1 worker it was a new office for the (useless) Operations Manager.

Well, that went across the floor like a fire.

About an hour later the Plant Manager (my boss & a good guy) came down and asked me if I started that rumor.
    Yep! ;)
He laughed and said "carry on", we messed with them for a few days with that one.

    I folded like a cheap card table...called plumber:bananadead:
He had it fixed up within a hour using plastic pipe and crimp fittings.
    Goodmorning crew.
Ya know what day it is...HUMPDAY :)
Going to be a 2 day work week for me, had Friday planned and called in yesterday to get plumbing fiasco sorted. Be a nice 4 day weekend.
The wife told me she's having new deck boards delivered today. Oh...does that mean another project for me? I didn't see any boards in danger of falling through:annoyed:

    ‘Morning.

I always cringe at the gif.

It’s the last little umph and the bolt being small enough for a 1/4 drive…

If you look at the movement, they are only a 1/4 turn in from seated. That’s typically sufficient.

Lime green is @Taco critter , I think I remember him posting a pic of cars out of the package too.

Shane, @six5crèéd, was always posting up old pics of toy trucks he was modding for someone. I miss Shane :pout:, anybody heard from him recently?

Good morning guys. Yesterdays limb trimming was a success, still have all my fingers and toes. My “few branches” turned into 3 pickup bed loads up to the burn row under the powerlines and I’ve still got a few more that I want to trim :frusty: Not today though, goofing off with Mike my history buddy. On todays agenda, prowl around Ft. Pickens, a civil war fort out on the beach.

The old Dodges were ok police cars, but the Crown Vic will always be the true king of the cruisers. Big and underpowered but with a trunk big enough for all my gear plus a couple of dead bodies, good seats for sitting in for hours at a time. I miss her.
