he has it posted for $1000, I offered $600 and he said $850 is bottom line. Still a little too pricey for me unfortunately

 

Remember, you could likely sell your hood if it's in okay shape to offset the cost?
I would drive a few hours for a $900 hood in a minute (the guy above paid $2K to get his), and they play hard-to-get it seems.
I get everyone has a budget but, that seems fair to me.

 

you definitely aren’t wrong. It’s a price that’s fair for both. As much as I would like a scooped hood it would have to be cheaper then that for me to spend basically the day to get it. I’m still on the fence about it though. I’m hoping maybe it somehow sits around for a bit and ends up just wanting it out of the house. The non scooped hoods don’t really sell around here at least. I’ve seen the same 3 posted for $500 for the last month-month and a half

 

You're right of course, few people will swap a scoop for a non-scoop. I think the only real market would be someone in an accident with body damage. You'd be real lucky to get $500 for it. I think I would probably give mine away for free to someone local to get rid of it. But that's just me. Good luck and let us know if you get one?

 

Scooped hood is pretty low on my list but I saw a trade on here + $200 and it kept me inspired lol

 

Agreed and even then in the event of damage I’m guessing most people would try to cough up the extra money for the scooped unless they didn’t really care. My thought on it is if I can get it on the lower end that eventually when I get rid of the truck I could hopefully put the stock one back on and sell for what I got it for or as much as I could and only take a little loss. Either way we keep the pipe dream alive that we find that unicorn that wants a non scooped and an even swap!

 

Picked it up yesterday. I just couldn’t help but feel like I’d be kicking myself for not getting it

It’s been raining for the last day so that’s the only one I’ve gotten. He gave me some vinyls to go on it too so I’ll have to check those out
