Maverik Biscuits and gravy. As long as who’s in the kitchen is making it right. Used to be pretty good for $3-4

I just have a thing about gas station food. I have to be starving even to eat at the subway in a truck stop. I know the food has come a long way since back in the 90's but still. Its a pain I must bare.

Got the drawer all together last night. Have a bit more sanding to do on the top rails so it slides a bit easier. But its coming together. Whit is wood burning in some artsy stuff into the front panel and I need to build the table top for it still. But should be almost done tonight depending how drunk I get at golf today.

I wasn’t expecting to see this whilst walking the dog in Pebble Creek +55 community.

The rear of a land cruiser in the back of a RAM

I went past the other day and he was loading up some wheels/tires that must have been 37’s at least into the back of the truck. I’ll try and strike up a conversation if I see him…

Has that sweet old skool 4wd badge too.

oooohhhh I am an idiot. You know that tho. It is usually not a sober event. You let all the sales guys off at 2 on a wednsday to go "network" on a course...... We get hella white gurl wasted.

Always seems like a bad idea too when on road trips.

Did you use roller guides for the drawer or just pull out? Plenty of space to sleep inside as well!
That last beer in the fridge would make me shart. Is that a wheat Leinenkugel summer shandy?

Subway in Cordes Junction isn't bad. Its our usual pit stop on the way up N. Gas station food in general is a pass these days, gut cant handle the bombs anymore and I hate stopping.

Nope. Used strips of polyurethane. More just for something durable to slide on rather than wood on wood. I opted for easy and no chance of a roller busting and locking the drawer closed somehow.

I am just happy I wont have the damn crease from the back seats and the trunk area. Its a nasty ridge that just made it super uncomfortable. Plus not having to take my camping crate out and putting it back in for sleeping will be a plus.

Yep summer shandy. Only had time for 1 between working on it and when I had to leave for softball.

The Love's truck stop roller dogs and all their glorious variety, those are the ones that make me regret life decisions.

I've had good Indian food. However, I used to work the field where I fixed trucks stops and gas stations. Frequently was in the back rooms and such. I've seen the way they keep stuff. No idea how they pass health inspections or keep the fire marshall happy. Seeing behind the curtains turns you off a lot of stuff.

Tell me you got her a machaca burrito from Alobertos! Those fuck me up every time. But I always go back for more :anonymous:
Coming from a guy with GI issues…y’all are weak  only things I won’t eat from a gas station is an egg salad sandwich and sushi.

Down here off Osborn and the 101 in Scottsdale there’s a rez owned gas station that makes some of the best breakfast sandwiches. When I was on the McKesson job site fixing weld leaks in their fire sprinklers, I would stop there every morning and get a sausage and egg croissant. Fresh, made to order, delicious, and about the size of a Whataburger.
this is why I carry baby wipes in my truck. Never know when shits gonna hit…I also have some GI issues so it’s almost a requirement for me to carry them on long trips :crapstorm:

:puke:I remember seeing those. And they still look odley familiar to the "new" Circle K ones my employees always get.
Ok I forgot about those. I will eat a hotdog from a gas station. Well the circle K diamond back stadium dogs. But very rarely. Like 1 every 6 months or so.
