Having a loose feel to the steering, lots of wandering, have to constantly adjust steering wheel, has a strange floating feel, not firmly planted, worse at higher speeds, also any bump, gravel/rocky roads feels extra rough, steering wheel jumps back and forth, any ideas as to what are common issues and what things I should be looking at to narrow this down, thanks in advance, strange thing is this did not happen untill after Toyota Dealership installed new lower control arms both sides

    Most likely is alignment.

    https://www.delphiautoparts.com/en-...-and-fixes-for-best-practice-steering-repairs

    Symptom: Vehicle wanders.
The direction of the car needs to be constantly adjusted.
    • Poor wheel alignment > check and adjust wheel alignment.
    • Severely worn or out of spec front wheel bearings > replace or adjust bearing.
    • Worn ball joints > inspect ball joints for play and replace if needed.
    • Loose steering components > tighten all components to recommended torque.
    • Vehicle is overloaded or weight distributed unevenly > adjust load accordingly.
    • Damaged steering component > replace as appropriate.

Post the alignment final numbers. They possibly have it out on the edge causing your issues. I'm sure someone with alignment experience will chime in.

Not OP but...I have a 2014 with 67K. Same issue, no off-road use, pavement princess. I've had it aligned twice. And bought new tires thinking that was the issue. I've tried 29, 34, 37 psi.
Will check upper u-joint on steering shaft.

Sounds like your rack has a bunch of play. Jack up the front end so both wheels are off the ground. Grab one wheel and see if you can feel any play back and forth. Mine is quite severe at 283,000. I’ve been putting off replacing the rack but will have to bite the bullet soon
