Haha you and me both. I’m guessing you’re almost finished or have you decided to do the sensible thing and build/buy something else?

I made another dump run this morning so figured I would update this after all the work:
With nothing at all in the bed, and a full tank of gas it weighs in at 4640. Apparently I carried 100ish lbs of bs in that action packer I always had in the bed, or it all worked out somehow with the plated and patched factory frame going bye bye.

Replaced the GMRS radio last night, that now works. The truck got it's annual oil change and tcase service. The tcase looks like how it has since 2010 when I built it, snot with some silver in it, still no red which is awesome. The oil change was fun as there is rod bearing material in it. The engine runs fine, doesn't make any weird noises, makes good power, doesn't consume oil or anything. So the plan is to change it again in 2months, then again when the season is over and go from there. Worse comes to worse I'll pull the motor and throw new bearings in it. It needs a bunch of other stuff like a new water pump, timing belt, valve shims and valve cover gaskets. Plan in the meantime is to keep wheeling it. Next week I'll tackle the diffs, curious to see what I find in there LOL!!

I hit up Potts mountain with the club I'm in and leave it up to me to dent the living hell out of the rear shaft and take out the carrier bearing on what is not a hard trail system.
I almost didn't toss my spare shaft in before the trip.
    IMG_20230520_154716189_HDR.jpg
It doesn't look bad but is dented in like 9 places and I couldn't go above 20.

No it's the first real rock obstacle on the trail, you drop into it off a rock ledge and it's a right hand turn back up the trail. It's a bunch of boulders you have to climb. My truck always gets hung up there and I slid off my line and hooked my driveshaft on a boulder. So it was the far left side. It's not one of the optional ones.

Running it forwards or backwards? I feel like I can't picture this one. It's clearly been too long and I need to revisit.

Forwards. It looks like nothing, but for some reason I have to winch out of there every time.

Let me know when ya want to hit it up, I like that trail/area.

Ah okay so I got all fucked up by the right hand turn part. This was the section I first thought of when you said it's the first thing you hit. I forgot it's a left turn down into it but a right hand out. Yeah that section is always deceptively hard lol Both my buddy and I wanted to take the line at the far right and got denied and ended up hugging way left basically where you are. Dang that fucker is undercut now!
