Previous owner installed a 4 inch Pro Comp DB lift (unfortunate, I know). I'm trying to get this thing riding a bit better by replacing the coil spacers with an extended coilover. I'm liking the looks of the Toytec/Bilstein 5100 Coilovers ( ).

They claim 3" lift so I'm assuming I could get by with a small 0.5" or 1" coil spacer on top and get rid of the massive Pro Comp spacer and blown out coilovers? Does anyone have experience with this setup? The majority of info I've found on TW is related to 6 inch DB lifts which isn't helpful because I'm looking to keep ride height the same or even lower it a little bit.

    Thanks,

A maxed out 5100 with a spacer will ride like complete garbage. All you need to do is pull your coilover out and cycle your suspension to measure your collapsed and extended lengths needed, then call King and they will build you what you need. It will end up being a stock replacement with a much longer lower rod end.

This will not work. You need extended length coilovers. I believe Procomp makes them as an option instead of the spacer. There is no lowering your truck as the front cross member was cut out when the kit was installed unless you find a cross member to weld back in.

You can get custom length coilovers built by icon, fox, king and others. I had the same issue on my truck only it was 6 inches of lift so I went with 4-6 adjustable fox shocks tuned by accutune. This was what I felt was the best option the ride is amazing and the front height is adjustable check out the pro comp 6 inch thread. There’s a few options I’m sure others will chime in

You can easily patch the cross member back with a section of 2x4 tubing or completely remove the cross member and replace it with 2x4 full length, it's actually very east I've done it myself.
