LX has auto retractable mirrors that makes it great for off-roading and getting into tight places. I miss that feature.

What do you think about those ebay tesla style complete touch screen dashes? Was gonna get one but don't know shit about.

I use those MIP screw drivers from my rc stuff for smaller stuff. Had to swap the batteries out on my keys the other night w those and I couldn't get the cover on without setting alarm off. It was like 11 and I set it off like 20 times. Between that and the tuning of tacoma my neighbors prob hate me.

I hate being the middle man in negotiating rates for contracted help here at work, makes the process take so much longer.

I think I need to propose the idea of them giving me a budget to work with annually so I can figure it out myself rather than having to go back and forth with higher ups and the people we're trying to hire for day gigs constantly. feels like an unnecessary obstacle

I don't know much about them. I have seen some comments on here that they are slow. I know one guy with one who is afraid to let it apply any software upgrades.

I converted the LX to the original LC three-knob cluster. I will use the old-style cluster to replace the NAV radio and touch panel cluster in the 02 LC.

Welcome to any job ever. If you find a management team that trusts you to hire contractors of your choice, go ahead and count on winning the lottery since you've got more luck then the rest of us.

I love the truck but the dash setups gotta go. I hate old school nav too. Actually, I hate all nav in cars. waste of time. Just want the thing to pick up my phone and have music. Guess im gonna have to do more research. I do love how you don't have to make shit for these like tacomas. They have parts out the ass.

I mean at this point I think I understand the general complete cost every year of this stuff better than they do, but they are the ones with the more real time understanding of what we can afford in the moment I guess. Truth be told there are times I just approve some rates without asking because I know they're low enough, but when we get into this back and forth it just seems like this would be easier on everyone if they didn't go through me. Or just tell me "don't spend more than $$$$$$ per year on model rates", and we can revisit it every few months to see how it's tracking

only in a perfect world though I know

Any of you want a modeling job

The 99 model LX was plug-compatible with the LC knob-type controls. So I got rid of the LCD display HVAC controls. There are instructions for converting my 02 Factory Nav unit to use this type of center control unit. I'll make the move sometime this summer when I can get some uninterrupted time to figure it out.

It's time that we have realistic models the average American can relate to
