where did you get your grille from I love the honeycomb with the chrome emblem.

 

Why not use a dash cover to hide the scratch(es)

 

Found some old-school PIAAs in the garage threw them using flag pole mounts...switched mounting points for Waterport, fixed and installed MCclean Metalworks hammock hitch.

 

New headlight housing.

 

I need to touch up my “4x4” lettering with new white paint. Maybe some kind of white reflective paint.

 

Do those look good? Or chincy?

 

I like how mine looks. I went with a company called Dash topper and they have several types of materials they use. I have used Dash topper for the past 30 yrs on all my vehicles to protect the dash. I have only used the velour though. Here's the website https://dashtopper.com/

The Fumoto Valve is so nice man. I preheat the oven and by the time it's ready everything is draining.

i went the other way and got rid of the white on mine with some denatured alcohol. comes right off with a rag. i'll have to look into VRP, the mothers back to black i bought is gross and difficult to apply without making a huge mess.

I did the same to the white letters.

 

Got the “sport” ones from Rock Auto. They came as complete with bulbs already installed. They are what I’d call black chrome on the inside, but I think the ones Toyota put in the later 2nd gens is a darker black.


Sometimes on the old ones I’d notice moisture inside and it why I replaced instead of buffing the lenses again.

 

Those are the ones I got and waiting to have put in as soon as I get lift done.Cracked and burt DRL for me.

 

Nice!! The bolt in the outside lower corner sucks to get out. I didn’t put it back, it’s been out in the one side for probably 10 years with no problems.Also you May break some plastic clips that help hold grill in. Take the bolts and clips out on top of grill and pull up on it to remove it.

 

We have 5 signed up. Need 15 more to make it a reality. Fits 2005-2011 Tacomas. Wouldn't it be nice to see your 4X4 selector switch at night?

Oh yea, I'm having mechanic do everything hav back surgery 3 weeks ago so not bending or twisting, lifting. Way too much fun!

 

Did the 2008 and 2012 in the last 2 years. Still soooo much easier than my 2016 Sport. 3rd gen requires removing grille, bumper cover, remove both front 1 or 2 clips on fender flares, then can access the bastard outer bolt. 2nd gen is not so bad.

 

Damn! Get better!
