Congrats on keeping all your digits!!

Wasn’t the Crown Vic an upscale version of the LTD?

If so, I had a ‘72 that was like driving around in a small living room. It has powered everything including a front bench seat made for some indelibly etched memories

    Thanks!

Yes, it was an upscale version of the LTD. It’s some point in the early 80s they did away with the LTD moniker and it just became the Crown Vic. Ford decided to go all in with that platform as a police car and had an entire plant, or at least a line in a plant dedicated to building just police package cars for LE. They had about 80% of the market from the late 80s through the end of the production run.

I was actually gonna suggest cutting some of it out and going to PEX. Looks like that's what plumbers are doing now as well :D

After trying to maintain picnic tables with over priced crappy wood that warps faster than the Starship Enterprise, I gave up and bought a couple of plastic and steel ones from Costco.

I refurbished one wooden table with parts from the others, and "decommissioned" the other two. The one I used for shooting was equipped with wheels and a removable tow bar.

Since I'm incredibly thrifty, I figured I shouldn't just toss what little good wood was left. My original plan was to build a shooting table, then during a campfire-side chat with the missus it was discovered that we need an end table for around the fire. (We used to keep a picnic table nearby).

I also remembered the old aluminum table frame I kept after the glass top shattered.

I broke out my recently acquired 2nd hand planer and started making a mess.

This is what is left of two dilapidated picnic tables...

This one served me well for a decade.

All I saw was high school chemistry when I saw this pic. Very strange what still remains in me head after 35 years.
