Yea your right. I already have a Ford ST Explorer with a V6 and twin turbos. Didn't need another one.

Turbo does give tuning opportunity for more HP and intercooler options etc. Depends on the turbo and motor compression ratio and how it's set up.

I'm pretty sure the turbo 4 will be "massively" detuned vs the car application just like the v6 is... All for the sake of reliability.

I like the looks of the new pro and trail hunter. I don’t like the silly bed rack in the trail hunter though. I’d be interested to know how the hybrid system will stand up to off road abuse, especially water intrusion. I like the sway bar disconnect feature, “high clearance” rear bumper and exhaust tip on the trail hunter, up to a 2400w inverter, and on board air. The trail hunter stock skids wouldn’t last very long, not sure about how heavy duty the stock rock rails are, but it’s better than tube steps. I’d sure like to try one out though.

I’m sure in a year or so OV tuning and OTT will have tuning options for it.

The sway bar disconnect is something really missing from the 3rd gen aftermarket line up. I’ve only found one option and it essentially mandates weekly maintenance, which isn’t something most (myself included) are willing to do in the 6 months of crap weather haha

I did the sway bar delete mod on my ‘19 Tacoma, nearly 2 years ago and haven’t looked back. But being able to electronically disconnect it is nice. As long as it holds up to some “minor abuse”

I have debating deleting it as well but I drive mostly highway miles so it kind of sketches me out:pray:

I don’t drive many highway miles, but I do a lot of country back roads, which is probably worse. If you’re on better than stock suspension it helps a lot. Overall ride quality is much better without it

I’m on an Icon Stage 8 kit with 2.5in RRs front and back, I likely don’t really need it but it’s just one of those things haha.

Well said. Sway bar disconnect is something I would really like to see for my 3rd gen. How long does it take to take the sway bar off and put it back on?

Oh yeah you’re definitely good! Take that thing off lol or just remove the end links to try it out.

Takes maybe 15 minutes to get it off. Not sure about putting it back on, I never did that part.

That's not really that bad. Would love a quick disconnect option but 15 min each way wouldn't be terrible before and after a trip.

Weekly maintenance sounds terrible when it could just be removed in 15 min. Probably spend more time in maintenance than it would take to just take it on and off for a trip.

Has anyone been to Dewley Cemetery or James Rd in/near Wayne National? Looking for some mild trails and a place to camp with my boy next weekend.
