I know exactly what you mean. My bro drives an F350 for work/DD and my AC Taco feels like a side by side ATV in comparison lol

Without seats it sure looks like a lot more room. I should to that to mine with the panel on the bottom. That must work well with grocery bags.

No - because a double cab means either a 5ft bed or a truck that is a foot longer and won’t fit in my garage.

Not what I said at all. I was responding to someone saying I’d be “better off” with a double cab, which was incorrect.

I had a 2004 access cab, and loved it. I got a 2017 access cab and I miss having the folding seats on the side instead of the back. They take up too much room when I'm not using them.

I have zero desire to have 4 doors and a back seat. I'd really rather just have a single cab. I'm apparently in the minority on that.

Based on the number of threads and comments on this I’d say a lot of people care. Just not enough for Toyota to keep it.

Probably more people than care about the truck having a manual transmission. In fact, theres probably a lot of overlap there. I bet more access cabs are outfitted with manual trannys than 4 doors are.

Toyota is making 8 trim levels in 2024, 2 cab styles, 2 bed lengths, still some manuals, plus other configurations. Yet some people still won’t like their choices. No way to make everyone happy. I’m not MAD they took the Access Cab away, just very GLAD I bought one last year. I owned a 2-door before this and for me the Access cab is significantly better. If they find the decision was not a good one they will reintroduce them in a few years.

The most important thing to Tacoma customers is the truck's garageability. Toyota let's go places! The smaller footprint probably doesn't hurt when it's time to load the truck on the ship, train, or truck. It's not like it's a problem shipping fullsize trucks & SUV. There are definitely advantages that a smaller midsize truck provide.

I swapped out the chrome butt-cheeks on mine, too. Matte black to match the fender flares. While the plastic rivets were easy, there were two clips there was just no way I was going to get back on unless I removed the whole bumper. Eff that... So those clips didn't go back on. Haven't lost a bumper cap yet...
