No clue. I just watch a few of the videos that get posted here. Honestly I didn't even watch all of the one I'm referencing.

My speculation would be no. Historically the Off-Road has not shared anything from a suspension standpoint with the Pro aside from the leaf springs. Even with the new platform I'd still wager the Off-Road will not have any 'lift' from the factory, or share much of anything from the Pro suspension platform.

Toyota.com has a small blurb on the off road . It gets bilstein shocks and that's all we know so far.
They didn't have an off road to show off because they didn't have one built so we will probably have to wait until the fall for that info

You got lucky in that the dealer you were working with was able to get an allocation of a truck in a configuration that you wanted...they did not build the truck for you. If you ask for the same things at a dealer that doesn't have the juice to get an allocation from Toyota, you will not see what you want. Thats the way Toyota does it...confusing people into thinking Toyota builds a truck for you.

Ram/Chevy/GM/Ford, will actually build the truck to your spec sheet, allocate time on the line just for your order, send you the vin number to your specific truck build and let you know where it is along the way. And every single Ford/Chevy/GM/Ram dealer can do this for you as long as the order banks are open. Yes, sometimes they close the order banks and no one can order, but it is not the same as Toyota.

I mean ok. Memes are fun. But let’s talk about trucks in the past like 2 decades not an entire century ago.

Maybe because 99.99999% of all Tacomas that will be sold will never see Baja, or actual desert “racing.” That’s such a small segment of the population that will do that, that Toyota wouldn’t make any sales if it was just purely a “desert racer.” It’s just a way of setting the two models apart for the basic everyday mouthbreather. True racers that want to use the platform will go ahead and get a Pro and outfit it as they see fit, and when they’re done, you or I won’t be able to afford their sled in any alternate universe, let alone this one.

    “Asthmatic,” or “aesthetic?”

if it’s the former, you may want to get that checked out by a doctor! :)

I think those will all be options. Methinks they had to show SOME examples, so they chose the ones that would be most mainstream & make it look tougher without going overboard…like, “Think it looks tough like THIS? We’ve got MORE!”
    Although the snorkel maybe standard.

@Jeff Lange is correct, the turbo is in the front on the right side. The Highlander, RX, NX are all base FWD vehicles meaning the engine is mounted transverse so the turbo is in the back. The Tacoma mounts the engine turned 90 degrees so the transmission is in the back leading to the base RWD driveline.

They have had stamped tailgates as long as I can remember, and long before I was born, then it went away, and now it is back. Much like giant large mouth bass grills. What was old is now new again is what I was getting at. :)

On the website it states bilstein mono tube shocks with remote reservoirs. Probably using the equivalent of the bilstein 5160’s on the rear of the truck for the off-road. Not a bad upgrade considering that used to be standard on the second gen trd pro. Had them on my third gen and they definitely dissipate heat and offer better dampening than the standard 4600/5100 series.

My guess is that these will be adjusted for lift if you get it with the available 33's

Your right a Raptor Ranger does come pretty much loaded, as it should lol. And you are also right that only stupid optional accessories are available, but even then I was able to option up another almost 5k in dohickeys and doodads which dealers love and trucks sitting on lots will almost certainly have. 2K which of was the beadlock wheels which almost everyone is going to have, and a bedliner...

Ordering your own, sure, but lots of people have poor self control and will snap up what is in front of their face.

A ZR2 I was able to add almost 18k worth of add-ons before I lost interest lol. 66k for a Chevy Colorado is possible, no reason to think the Toyota Pro and especially the TH won't be possible to do the same, and maybe then some.

Most of these type trucks won't be equipped as base versions is my only point and comparing base price is somewhat disingenuous. Raptor certainly comes closest to breaking that and maybe should be excluded, but the Chevy and Toyota are going to bear out my point I think.
