I'm 21 ish on leafs and wish it was taller. I have a like/hate relationship with having a low slung truck. I like the stability, but getting stuck on boulders is annoying and getting beached at the top of climbs also sucks.

3rd gen 4runner on 2004 Superduty axles, here's what I'm building mine to:
24.5" frame height at ride height
    40" tires
5" of actual up-travel (when both bumpstops bottom out, 6" of shaft showing on coilovers at ride height)
    No body lift
    No engine lift

I want to see your progress... it's hard to keep a low profile and still get 5" of uptravel without mods to the frame or engine/oil pan

My limit for uptravel is the driver side upper axle heim contacting the electrical connection on the AC compressor. No way around that except to raise the engine. I don’t get the obsession with wanting to sit super low for stuff around the south east at least. Heavy ass trussed up tons with a ram help make for a lower center of gravity anyways. No one wants to drag belly and bump over these big ass ledges that sit on top of big ass hills more than they have to especially with a longer wheelbase

also mentioning frame height without saying what tire size is pretty pointless. When I look at other second gens I try to gauge where the top of their 17” bead lock meets to bottom of the cab if I drew a line through them. Most line up. Not the most accurate, but eliminates a few variables I guess.

So 20" frame height on 31 inch tires don't count  I'll be dragging my pumpkin but I'll be at 20"

@02hilux See photos below. For the photos with the axle under the truck, the axle is at ~1/4" below full bump. This week I'm working on the axle brackets/truss. I just ordered all my Johnny Joints / rod ends so now I'm waiting on those. I'll start a build thread soon, though I want to make a little more progress first.

1st gen but 23 in frame height and 6.5 inches of useable up travel. I found 23-25 is my happy place for frame height For stability to bottoming out on stuff. 40s helped a lot to solve that though.

To help establish a baseline- when we’re talking about uptravel do we mean measuring at ride height on level ground from the bump pad to where the bump would bottom out minus the thickness of the puck? Essentially if both tires moved up at the same time to bottom out, not fully articulated, right?

That’s how I measure mine. If I measure under articulation I probably get another 1-1.25 inches of up travel because my bump stop is bottomed out straight up and down and under articulation it uses the entire shock shaft and I left about an inch of shock shaft showing when the bump stops are bottomed out.

all due to not being able to put the bump and shock in a 1:1 ratio of each other because of packaging issues.

Same here. This is what mine looks like one tire stuffed. I’m strapped at 12” so the rubber shaft bumper would compress fully if the other side was able to droop fully to 14”.

21-3/4” on leafs and 37s on an 08 reg cab. Very little uptravel. I could see myself getting an inch or two taller front leafs down the road for a tad more travel and clearance

3 gen 4runner 24.5" frame height on 39", 4WU front 3 link and 57" rear leafs. 5 inches of up travel, had to raise engine 1.5 inch and modify oil pan for up travel.

    This is interesting....

What's your spring rating? How much PL?Length of shaft showing at ride height? I'm running Artec BR1062 18.3" tall tower trimmed down to 16" and sit almost flush with the MC with 2.5x14 CO and my frame height is 27" with 4" shaft showing on 40s. Yours is nearly identical but with 24.5" frame height
