I too had the second gen pro suspension on my truck and the 5160 were far better than the stock OR shocks or the 4600's I currently have.

If Toyota does a 5160 equivalent as stock on the OR, it would be a pretty decent setup IMO.

I do like that the domestics allow ordering, wish Toyota would go to it. I figure 95% of Raptor orders are all custom orders so none will be sitting on the lot that aren't green tagged (Ford's special order window sticker). Only if the dealer tries some crap or buyer backs out will you see one on the lot for sale if they are only building 3,000 this year.

You probably are right. I'm just guessticulating, I just can see a Ranger Raptor sitting on a showroom floor.

It sounds like that's what OR will have, not sure if the front will be the same size as a 6112. Considering that's what was on the 2nd gen Baja/Pro. That sounds like the most probable set up. Which will also add to the final cost. Toyota is probably waiting on supply, and the reason the OR was not at the unveiling. I expect the OR to look exactly like the Prerunner, oh yeah Toyota has shown the cgi render of the OR.

Ford was encouraging it whenever I was looking at the Ranger and F150. Definitely could spec closer to how I wanted it than how Toyota does their trims. Toyota rather bump you up a trim with a bunch of stuff you don’t need, good money maker for them, can see why they do it.

Ranger was simple, XL, super cab, rear seat delete, rubber floors, vinyl seats, and a rear locker. The salesman was like, that is all you want!? Yep that’s it. They lost a sale simply because they were 6-8 months out at the time, and Toyota got it to me in 5 weeks.

I wanted something similar but they started playing games with me with the ordering process, so I just went with a Tacoma SR.

No games, didn’t get that far. Probably didn’t help that the salesman told me about his built Lexus GX, then we started talking Toyotas. Have been with Toyota for so long, why change now? So that was part of it too.

Kinda pisses me off they killed the AC, saw a DCLB on 35s today…hmmmm, that could work. Maybe a little extra space to what I have now isn’t such a terrible thing. Of course at that point might as well get a Tundra.

40s something, would have to see the grill to know the exact year. Neighbor back East had a 40 Sedan, and a 50 Merc.

There are some parts of the country where you literally can’t have anything bigger than an access cab midsize truck ACLB or maybe DCSB if you actually plan on going anywhere, because the parking garages, parking spaces, and even the vertical clearance are just not big enough.

I would actually prefer a regular cab if it was still available so I could have an even better turning radius. I don’t think that the new xtracab is much shorter than the access cab.

The current Pro by default has a factory lift compared to the OR which does not.

I believe the release video's advertised an even larger factor lift for the 24' Pro, which the OR will not have.

That's the configuration of Tundra I prefer, or if you can get the longer bed. I'd also want factory tow mirrors. I wasn't going to try and track one of those down, maybe one day if one shows up. I had a hard of enough time finding an extended cab STX F-150 with the rubber floor, I'm not sure if the dealers order them with out carpet in this state. Had I ordered a 5g Ranger super cab, rear seat delete and rubber floor would have been my priority I would have done STX to get the cloth seats and heated mirrors, and FX4 rear locker by default and the air damn was already removed.

The OE Fox, and OME parts should all be interchangeable if Toyota will sell them to you. Isn't that stuff "branded" under those manufacturer's names and built by suppliers?

It used to just be off the shelf stuff, now I think it’s custom-made for the application because the manufacturers are putting in big enough orders where they can actually have tuned shocks.

I'm just wonder who produces the stuff, I doubt if it's FOX, and OME they might not build there own stuff, so it could be the same factory that build the stuff they sell, and what Toyota orders. Could be the same suppliers that build the regular Sport shocks, and the FOX-OME. It's not the same products you buy from those manufacturers, not that anyone is claiming that.

Yes I would like a regular cab 4th gen as well.

Same. I'm still running that 2nd gen Pro kit on my turd. I'll keep my eye out and fingers crossed for Toyota to start offloading the now antiquated Fox 3rd gen pro kits in the coming months/years. They may not.

For reference, that old 2nd gen Pro kit thread started in 2018. Me and all the other peasants that stick with our current rigs likely have some waiting to do.
