Can you get someone to turn the wheel a little bit while you watch for any rack movement or loose joints?

I can try that later. I think it’s just leaky, and the lift with stock UCAs is causing the sloppy steering like Zane said

Wandering steering would have me looking at the LCA bushings as someone already mentioned.

Don't start telling yourself your steering rack is going bad if you haven't diagnosed the simplest things yet.

Your steering rack bushing looks good.

I had wandering steering when I first got my Tacoma.

Lifting it only made it more noticeable.

Replaced my LCA bushings and it was nice and tight afterward; could drive on the highway with no hands on the wheel and it'd track nice and straight. Couldn't do that before with the bad bushings.

I’d think the PO wouldve replaced them with the LBJs but I can ask

This guy is up for adoption in Fayetteville. He’s really skinny and a little skittish at first but then he’s super sweet and friendly.

Never make assumptions about work done; it's how you end up with bigger issues in the long run cause you neglected stuff you thought was replaced.

LCA's to many are a pain in the ass, especially those that deal with rust.

LBJ's are easily 10 times way easier and faster to do compared to LCA's.

Also, and this is just me...I'd completely tell you off (not you personally, generally speaking) if someone that got a vehicle from me kept asking questions about it months later.

Ask @eon_blue and @Wulf how I told them just how often the new owner would bother me about the dumbest shit over my old 4Runner. At times he was borderline passive aggressive and that's when I started becoming condescending towards him. I really tried not to but holy fuck...

I've seen a few videos of different solutions. The Aussies seem to do it often.
A guy on Mud even used a rear hatch door from a 4Runner. (I think he kept the roll down window functional as well)
