I know she is going to need a lot of work done before I can even think about lifting and adding a locking diff.

Getting an Itemized list of all mechanical shortcomings. I'll later determine what I can do vs. what I need the shop to do. Hell, Might need a new Eng or Trans. Whatever it takes, I'm game!

    Let the journey begin!

With it being my father in law’s dedicated work truck for 11 years racking up over 350,000 miles, the check engine light is on and the transmission leaks. And I’m sure there are plenty of other things. At this point, I would just love to bring this thing back to its original beauty.

    Let’s get it passed 400k……maybe even 500k?
You said it was a project. So I would guess you have a different truck to drive and the time?
If so, I think you’ll be ok unless there are big expenses. The 2.7 is a good engine. If the frame is good, it can be fixed:thumbsup:

My 07 is a baby by comparison, but with 176k miles on it, I wouldn’t hesitate to hop in and drive from NY to the west coast right now.

Did it once already in 2018, 12,500 miles in 40 days. Truck didn’t miss a beat. ❤️
