I've recently given up sticking around the beach area and started looking at some inland housing. Buying a house around here just ain't gonna happen. One benefit though is no more real fluid film need.

The constant facial recognition is a step too far for me right now and I'm not even a tinfoil hat guy. I remember seeing a thread about the BMW system asking a driver if he wanted to take a break after he had yawned a few times on a trip. Since Subaru already has their incredibly annoying EyeSight system going I wouldn't be surprised if they implement something like the lane change feature as well.
New cars bum me out.

 

While I'm semi-ranting....the neighbors' nanny has a Hyundai or Kia CUV thing that has a loud backup alert like she's driving a fucking Amazon truck.

 

Also a guy a few houses up got an M3 and its so fucking ugly.
It's plain antithetical to the sound it makes.

 

@Speedytech7 Forgot, just curious, did you have xDrive in your 1 or rear wheel?

 

At least it keeps their eyes open, and for once a BMW driver will use a blinker

The 135i was a tire roaster, would have been too competitive with the M3 if it had AWD me thinks.thats actually why they stopped offering DCTs outside of the M models.

 

Yeah you're right, would've been real competitive. I hadn't thought of it that way.
I haven't gotten to drive a 1 yet, but been low key keeping an eye out.

I propose automatic heavy deceleration. The gas is unresponsive until both hands are back on the wheel and the driver has looked left/right out of every mirror or window

 

Got 4 in-laws inbound for the weekend, rip to me. Luckily they are not staying at our house this time. But Rebecca is going crazy getting the house ready, came home from work to a hired cleaning crew doing a deep clean of our house lol. Gonna be a loooong long weekend

 

A hired cleaning crew!? Wtf? Good luck buddy. I found out my FiL is coming in this weekend just a few days ago. That means the double edged sword of I'm getting a new fence but also that my holiday will be spent building a fence.
