I skipped the standard therapy the DR sent me home with, and went with Mr. Miagi's shoulder therapy by washing the wife's 19 Highlander after getting her a new head unit. Kinda wished I had done the regular therapy. After 2 tequilas and a white claw at dinner, I had to break down and ask the wife for a Naprosyn. Only second "pain" pill I've taken since 5/15.
This morning I"m dragging, but about to head out for a couple mile walk to warm up, then the standard therapy before wax on/wax off the beetle.

My dad and I hunted Elk in Grand Teton park in October/November 2000 for 30 days. About once a week we would air out our sleeping bags. Clothes laundry we did in Jackson when we went on a grocery store resupply run. This was originally taken with a disposable 110 instant camera, so not the best quality.

Another all hands meeting, 50 miles away. I decided after the last meeting, I would give them a break and not attend.

They called me and put me on speakerphone.

Good evening everyone. I think that my Taco is sick. it's running kinda crappy and the tailpipe is sooty. I plugged in my scan tool ( just a horrible freight scanner, nothing nice) and I didn't see any codes. I was also feeling a weird vibration through the steering wheel the past week or so, I thought that the summer tires just needed a rebalance after being in the shed for the past 8 months. When I was on a back road with the windows down this afternoon, I could hear a definite " screech screech screech" when the steering wheel was turned a bit to the right. On a straight road, it was quiet, so I started to do a gentle left to right sweep, I only heard it when tuning to the right. My brain is thinking wheel bearing, so I jacked up the front end when I got home and wiggled back and forth and up and down, no noticeable movement besides a bit of slop in the steering rack. The pads are only about 1/2 worn and the rotor spins pretty free, a bit of drag compared to the drivers side but not enough that I'd suspect a bad caliper.
I dunno, something is going on. This is my DD, so I need to get it figured out even though I'm going car shopping on Monday.

I tried to keep quiet and let the other techs talk, which they did. But they kept stopping and asking me for input.

So i was mean to them again.
Had to replace the whole steering rack not too long ago.
I regularly have stuff like bushings and bearings replaced, why wait for a failure? It will cost less in the long run IMOGMO.
