The noise is definitely coming from the bracket area, so whether it's the pulley bracket or the pump, remains to be seen I guess. I'm not leaking anything or overheating. I do see slight wobble & the noise is rotational, so hopefully it's the bracket. I ordered one & a new belt. Should be here Sunday. So now I need to get my hands on a loaner fan clutch holder & some coolant. I can either suck it up & pay a bazagilion dollars at O'Reilley's for coolant or put the alt belt on & drive to Walmart....
Course then I have to figure out why the ps pump is making that noise when revved. Hoping it has to do with this pulley issue as well....

So a couple of the fan nuts were loose, in that they came off easily with just the ps belt doing the holding. One of the remaining two came off with a little more effort. The 4th, I had to go to O’Reilly’s & get the loaner holder tool.
Oh, & I did retighten them all using said tool to see if that would do the trick. However when I started the truck, whilst there was a slight improvement, I still saw wobble. Damage had been done. Live & learn…. Yada, yada, yada….

Next I drained the antifreeze so as to be able to remove the fan shroud. Struggling to get the fan to come off. It wiggles, however it’s like it’s suctioned on?

Went to try again to find a vid. Decided to search for a fan clutch replacement one & a Timmy vid appeared. Turns out I didn’t need to drain the radiator. On the 3.4 the fan will come out without the shroud removed. That’s helpful just in case, for future reference, &/or if others decide to read this far, through all the my blow by blow details of my action packed adventure…. Anyway, what wasn’t helpful is that his fan practically jumped off the bracket. So that’s where I’m at. Guess I’ll have to pry it?

Yeah…Tap on it and try to get a screwdriver behind it…could spray it with some WD-40 or something similar and let it soak a minute..

So while I’m in here, I snapped a couple few (ok 7) pics just for fun. Thought it might be a good idea in case a trained eye or two picked up on something either I should do whilst I’m in here or should put on the list….

I could hear little marbles (tink, tink....) in the original bracket when I spun it. With the new one installed, I'm not seeing anymore wobble. However, straightening it out seems to have brought something to the surface with the ps pump. Pulley or bearing. The pump is less than a couple of years....
I thank you all for your help & support
