    What's everyone's plans for this Memorial Day Weekend?

    Our eldest turns 33 on Saturday and changed her food menu for her party from Lasagna to Pizza!

    The Lasagna was going to be too much preparation so she will just get frozen pizza from Aldi.

    There's still a dress to buy from TJMaxx...same day as her bday...such a procrastinator (like her dad) lol!

    I've been buying things sparingly this past week:

    ice cream (cookies/cream & vanilla)
    whip cream (both kind)
    Caramel topping & Marischino Cherries
    milk
    cookies from the hospital cafeteria (Snicker-doodles)

    I've also been cleaning the front porch area--2 bushes needed trimming, 2 rocking chairs and the porch itself were power washed with garden hose (not with 60psi machine).

    I've got wood floors to sweep/mop today but before that, I'm gonna jump on the riding power for quick front mow--wanna do that before wife gets home and focuses on cleaning inside. lol

    So, we will have a house-full of adult children this weekend, lol. Sleeping arrangements have been taken care of as well as cat/dog proofing the house.

    Busy, busy, busy but I'm glad our adult kids like to hang out with us "empty nesters". :)

    Good morning Delaware and friends.

    So, I fell asleep on the couch watching Platonic on AppleTV last night. It was about 10:30pm when wife woke me to get in bed.

    I had started watching Platonic earlier this week and she wanted to catch up so we started with the pilot.

    This morning, it's so beautiful & quiet.

    I went to the backyard and setup the Orbit garden sprinkler (which is this heavy mini tractor)--scared all the birds for a minute but they're back.

    Got the coffee brewing and getting ready to sit on the deck overlooking the backyard.

    Just waiting for the kids to show up later this morning and their friends this afternoon too. (Happy Birthday to our eldest daughter) :)

    Enjoy the day everyone and thanks for reading my daily notes. lol

    I took the day off...why?

    Getting my wife's Elantra windows tinted...which means, she has to drive my truck to work.

    I've been driving Automatics since 1996 for this one reason--so my wife can drive my vehicle.

    Mind you, she does not like driving my truck but that's why we did dry runs the first time she drove it about 18 months ago.

    It's cloudy and overcast...but I'll still take a drive to Dewey Beach to walk on the beach this morning before I turn her car in.

    Have a good short work week.

    EDIT: This isn't the first time since 1996 that she's driven my vehicle. Today just happens to be an example of my reasoning. My wife appreciates it.
