Dang. I've never put a scratch on a car until I got this truck and now it's been hit/damaged FIVE TIMES in 50,000 miles.

    1. Teenager on phone rear ended me at a stop sign.
    2. Deer ran HIT ME during the rut (I was stopped when it plowed into my side).
    3. Construction debris fell over divider in front of me.
    4. Ok, this one's my fault. I found a pillar with my rear bumper and busted the bumper cap.
    5. Asshole decides to make a left turn from the far right lane in an intersection. From the marks, you can see that I should have been in his/her field of view when they hit me. I was driving past them on their left and had already pulled ahead of them where they were out of my sight when they decided to pull this stunt. Unfortunately, I got stuck going straight, and they completed the left turn and ran.

I brace for impact at most stop lights here in the land of reckless driving. Been lucky so far.

On the animal front, a large owl dive bombed my windshield one night, left an owl dust impression, but no cracks. Another night, a coyote ran under my truck while I was doing around 35. Fortunately, my truck rolled right over it.

Not so good of an outcome for the coyote though...

I got a steel rear bumper, steel side bars & full front bull bar. It helps when Mall crawling, or bush wacking....

Not being sarcastic here but I feel your pain, cell phones are really pissing me off because everyone is on them and its against the law here. I buy every vehicle with the expectation of losing money, it's not an investment it's a liability. You lost trade in, not resale. Most private buyers don't give a hoot if the car is nice and a fair price from an original owner. With that said I think you should trade it right away, take the hit and move on. Maybe you'll have better luck with the next one. OR just keep it and run the wheels off it, screw the carfax......you know what you have and where its been.
Damage is minor so I hope that's comforting. Enjoy your truck, don't obsess or lose sleep.
TIP: Always take pictures of damage, car fax will report frame damage on that damage you have right now.....it's almost criminal what they do. I think they should not be able to elaborate on the severity of damage unless they have actual pictures to back it up.

I hear you. I had a friends son(paid) to help load up some old lumber that I didn’t need anymore, after I found a big scratch outside of the bed, had another friend who borrowed my previous Gen2 truck that was returned with a dent and nothing said. Lesson don’t loan out anything you want back in the same condition or have a paid helper who doesn’t care. Sorry for your loss

Sorry for your continued run of bad luck.

Many larger areas have cameras at intersections now, perhaps go back and see if there are any there. The local Po-Po might be able to find the low life who hit you.

Hope you can fix everything under one claim.. arb rear/front and also the continuation from front bumper that converts into sliders (don’t know the name) and you are good to go!

Hardly a day goes by in Phoenix without another report of a wrong-way driver on a freeway. 1/2 involve fatalities, too often in the vehicles driving the correct direction.

I feel your pain - lost the 2nd gen last year to some kid running a stop sign. Exactly one year later (to the day, almost to the hour) my daughter was driving our Infiniti and a Ram 2500 did not stop, plowed into a Jeep which plowed into a Highlander which plowed into her. She does not want to drive any more.

chalk it up to badges of honor. Sucks that its a newish truck but in 10 years it will blend in with all the other dents and dings, rock chips etc.
