I think you are lying about working in the polymers industry, and holding an electrical engineering degree. That's just what I think.

I wouldn't hold that against you. Your back ground and education have no bearing on that tid bit of information about Berkshire Hathaway.

I'd be more interested in hearing how electric vehicles are more efficient, what makes them more efficient, and how that efficiency translates into cleaner air and less pollution, resulting in less cases of lung cancer.

What’s your angle here? Do you think mineral mining and production of electricity will offset zero emissions from the actual vehicles?

You’re welcome to it. There is plenty of information to educate yourself on. I recommend it.

I also think the layout in general looks better here than the execution in Tundra. I prefer the traditional tach and speedo locations of the Tacoma compared to both being centered in the Tundra.

Something I haven't seen much on this forum are complaints about the 3rd gen's arm rest on the door. I always hated how it was just hard plastic with the thinnest layer of vinyl or leather over it.

I am so stoked that they addressed every single gripe, large and small, I had about the 3rd gen in this 4th gen. Armrest looks much nicer here:

As someone who has had Ulnar Nerve surgery on his left arm, I welcome this change. I had to completely change my driving position in part due to this.

I had completely forgotten about that, thanks Jerk...:p

Well I will have to wait until it is confirmed, but that will be a huge mistake if it isn't designed to run on regular specifically because of these high gas prices.

If the tundra can run regular there should be no reason the Tacoma shouldn't especially since the tacoma makes up way more sales.

Much improvement! The 3GS look doofy to me, especially since they two tone the panel.

No. There is going to be so much pollution that the use of EV isn't going to offset the increase in other sources of pollution. Not when other economies continue to grow. Certainly not any measurable amount of pollution that is going to have a noticeable impact on anyone's health.

Claiming that electric vehicles are more efficient and produce a greener future is a false hood. 50 years from now, when the air isn't any cleaner, and will most likely be more polluted. I don't want people wondering why electric cars didn't solve the problem that EV were marketed to solve.

EV are fine if that's what people want to drive. I don't even care about the environment. For people to think they can positively or negatively impact the environment on an individual level, is as silly as pondering if the earth is flat or round.

Converting even half the vehicles in North America, EU and China to electric will have massive impact on carbon and greenhouse emissions. This isn’t even debatable. Of course there will be pollution from emerging economies. That would be the case either way.

That does look nice what an improvement over 2nd and 3rd gens.

Kinda of an odd theme between the milk crate door pocket, the bosa wood insert, and the snake skin door pull.

I prefer the plastic on lower trim vehicles, as the patterns and more detailed parts don't age as well. The camo pattern on the seats might be cool now, but ten years from now?

That would seem like the case. On paper more EV, and less emissions producing engines running around will produce less emissions. I don't believe that will equal a measurable difference later down the road.

Right now the use of EV isn't producing any positive results in carbon, and green house emissions. Not that can be measured, where are the results? There aren't any, I know somebody would like to have a link they could point to, and say look how wrong, and dumb you are. Those results simply do not exist.

Does EV useage need to be scaled up to produce those results? 1.The results will be the same, because there is already a substantial amount of pollution being emitted every day. 2. The scaling up of EV production isn't all that feasible at the moment, and it most likely never will be.

How many hours can the current EV with most amount of battery storage drive for before depleting the battery?

They will not make ppl run 91 octane on their most popular product. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard . We don't have to wait for anything, it just won't happen

I would think so, but like @Jeff Lange said, it's making more power than the crown and highlander which run on regular 87 octane.

You really should quit whilst you’re behind…
“The first signs came from China. When the country imposed a strict lockdown in late January, most people could not leave their homes at all for about 3 weeks. And direct emissions of air pollution sharply fell at a rate and scale never observed before.”

Next time just type two words to him. 'Prove It'. Mostly he never responds but once in a great while he will.

And I hate to do research but this proves against his efficiency rant

    https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/evt... convert over 77% of,Environmentally friendly.
    • Energy efficient. EVs convert over 77% of the electrical energy from the grid to power at the wheels. Conventional gasoline vehicles only convert about 12%–30% of the energy stored in gasoline to power at the wheels.

I love BBP. When I finally decided to buy a taco I found the perfect one; BBP, DCLB, OR with leather and sunroof at my local dealer, Kona HI. They showed it online and I went down and they had sold it that morning. No problem I’ll order one, nope it was July and the factory had finished all production of BBP.

I ended up with one of their 6 choices of grey a couple of years later.

It’s nice to see more choices of color in the new line up.
