    Someone is playing a very risky game right there. While I hate the 25-year import ban (screw you, Mercedes), if the authorities find out, that Thesis will not live to see the day...

    I would love for someone to lobby the government to reduce the ban to 15 years, like Canada. But that's wishful thinking.

    Why couldn't they lift it entirely? As far as I understand it, Europe actually has stricter safety requirements for vehicles than the US.

    That's how the other guy I met in Carlisle got the Romanian pickup truck (a 2005-2006 model) into America. It came to America without the engine and transmission, and he dropped 350 in it. It is titled in Maryland and registered with "Historic" plates...
